This thing is cranking up fast!! I noted 88 degree water off Destin last night,likely similar numbers in the North Fla. area. lots of “hurricane food”.
The waters around the panhandle are very warm so this storm has lots of fuel to work with.
I’m sure this has been posted on these threads before, but I’d missed it. Wife just showed it to me. It’s 13 years old!

I never miss a NN thread. We’re practically neighbors.
Very funny! Thanks for posting.
Not a lot of rain yet, but the wind is picking up. 25kt out of the ESE shifting southerly. Surf was flat about an hour ago. East wind is knocking it down, but the water is churny.
Center of circulation appears to be at latitude of Punta Gorda/North Port.
WWSB reporter on Manasota Key (Englewood) showing impressive storm surge and beach road washover. I see beach replenishment in their future.
Yikes, no good for Ga/SC.
We just had a five minute monsoon with strong gusts. Now it’s barely drizzling.
this is the place to be no doubt.word is out.

actually its over 500 miles long from Cuba to north florida.
Just got back from Vaca.Prayers for everyone ((((Hugs))))
Hiya, fatima! {{{{hugs!}}}}
That’s really weird. We live 10 miles NE of downtown Louisville. Most of the really severe weather comes through here from the SW. It’s amazing to see how often the heat island of the city and the elevation drop of the river causes storms to break apart or dissipate (my favorite word!). People 10 miles north and south of us get it much worse… especially when tornadoes come.

PA Storm Trackerz
From Joe Bastardi: "from 2 days ago. So no surprise. But the sweet spot for upper support is from where it is now NE into the Carolinas which means the our Carolina cat 2-3 impact scale hit is still very much on the table IMO"
Translation: watch out once Debby hits the Gulf Stream... a while the Hurricane Center is suggesting a track that moves inland to S. Carolina quickly, Joe's thinking is that it goes further out, and that puts the NC Outer Banks in possible peril. If that scenario plays out, Debby could blow up into something big... and there would be little time to prepare.
