This is the real reason Kamala Harris is the nightmare candidate for Donald Trump
Toronto Star Newspapers ^ | Aug. 1, 2024 | Rosemary Westwood

“We will fight for reproductive freedom,” Harris told a crowd of staff, “knowing if Trump gets the chance he will sign a national abortion ban to outlaw abortion in every single state.”

Harris’s campaign has abortion rights activists — already desperate to see the Democrats win – electrified and rushing to endorse her. It also puts Republicans into a bind.

Fighting against reproductive rights has long been a winner for the GOP. But now, that fight has become the party’s kryptonite...

For the first time in a generation, abortion rhetoric was largely absent from the Republican National Convention earlier this month. The party’s platform, adopted at the convention, apes Trump’s “leave it to the states” stance on rather than calling for a national abortion ban.

But activists worry those hints at moderation are more about politics than they are about anything that would happen in Trump’s second term.

Project 2025, a Trump policy blueprint drafted by leading conservative and right-leaning Christian groups, calls for extreme new restrictions on reproduction care,...

Trump has...refused to say whether he would sign a national abortion ban or a law to give full legal rights to every fertilized egg.

Meanwhile, Harris had been the Biden administration’s most outspoken messenger on abortion rights. She has undertaken a reproductive freedom tour, speaking in Jacksonville, Florida the day that state’s six-week abortion ban took effect and becoming the first president or vice president to visit a clinic that performs abortions (a Planned Parenthood in Minnesota).

There is widespread support for abortion rights in America...

Where Biden, despite his platform, has been squeamish about even saying the word “abortion,’ Harris “fully embraces this idea that all abortions, no excuses, no explanations needed, should be between the patient and the doctor,” [Kaitlyn] Joshua told the Star.

297 word excerpts of excerpt.

Contrary to brand of "conservatives" who advocate avoiding making abortion an issue (under the premise that this is not a "winnable issue" as if gassing Jews was), there is no reason why the GOP (or anyone) should be "squeamish" about abortion, as instead it should be made a major issue, exposing the murderous ethos of the Left.

For there simply is no sustainable argument for abortion on demand, for any reason - which premise is behind the cry for "reproductive rights" - under the premise of "my body, my right."

The main counterarguments, besides the red herring recourse to the 4% of abortions which are due to rape, or actual or possible danger to health of the mother (versus 96% of abortions being due to unjustifiable and essentially selfish reasons), really rest upon what determines a human life, or personhood.

Will it be based upon degree of developing function, and or location versus biology? The former two logically would extend to any person lacking the varied criteria of functionality and or location set by humans.

A foundational issue behind the abortion movement is that of rejection of the responsibility for volitional actions. If one chooses to engage in an activity that usually results in conception, biologically human, and which will rather quickly and progressively become manifest as being a human life, then one is responsible to care for it, just as if a needy child wandered in the open door of your house.

And more so when you are responsible for the presence of that needy child being in your house or vehicle.

My body/house/car =my right, has limits.

Meanwhile, the claim that Roe vs. Wade marked the end of women dying from abortions, and that more died due to illegal abortions than after, is false.

And the abortion issue is is also related to immigration, as the need for more people to pay taxes in the light of a declining birth rate ( the mean number of children ever born to women aged 15–49 in 2015–2019 being just 1.3 - https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhsr/nhsr179.pdf)

This excerpt shows the smartest pro-abort tactic (happily parroted by the media) - use euphemisms like “reproductive health” as much as possible, and never say “abortion” without the word “rights” attached.

While I agree with your premise, that abortion is indeed evil, the SC has ruled that the constitution does not grant the fed the right to regulate it.
Either by allowing it.
Or by forbidding it.
It’s a states rights or peoples rights issue.
While it is virtually impossible to change someone’s views or opinions on the subject, it is possible to get them to shut up about it.
This is one way.
The fed has no say either way.

Trump’s been clear despite the article. He’s leaving the issue to the people to vote their consciences in the states. He supports the three traditional prolife exceptions of rape, incest & life of the mother.

This is boilerplate fear mongering by radicals. Lindsey Graham also needs to keep his mouth shut.

It is clear that abortion has been the democrats’ go-to issue, and will be in the Fall campaign. They cannot credibly talk about the economy, or about foreign policy, or about the border debacle. Distraction from these issues, with the assistance of a complicit media focussing on abortion, is their best tactic. That and the usual daily drumbeat of irrelevant campaign drivel.

Even so I don’t think Kamala is a nightmare candidate for republicans. She may turn out to be that for the democrats if the GOP plays its cards right.(Admittedly more a hope than an expectation.)

Real BS from the Toronto Star.

Americans are anything but monolithic when it comes to the abortion issue. That is especially true of women. There are a lot of women who are pro life. So let’s not pretend this issue is all of a sudden going to cause all women to vote for Heels Up Harris.

Next, she is simply lying. Trump has said quite clearly abortion is a matter for the states to decide. He has no intention of signing any national ban. The Left’s big hope is a great big nothing. The hardcore feminazis who say they are voting against Trump due to this issue were always going to vote against him anyway.

And the VP, who is not a biological mother (it is not known is he herself had an abortion) is in-deed a adamant promoter of abortion
Harris goes on the offensive over abortion rights in Arizona: ‘Trump did this’ In the wake of an Arizona Supreme Court ruling this week banning abortions in almost all cases, Harris headed to Arizona to mobilize voters who see November’s election as a referendum on women’s rights, one of the Biden campaign’s key issues in the upcoming election. The vice president has become a go-to voice for the campaign on abortion rights and quickly announced a trip to Tucson after Tuesday’s ruling. The decision, which revived a 160-year-old law barring all abortions except in cases when “it is necessary to save” a pregnant woman’s life, “demonstrated once and for all that overturning Roe was just the opening act of a larger strategy” to restrict abortion access in the United States, Harris said...“And we all must understand who all is to blame,” she said. “Former President Donald Trump did this.” - https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/12/politics/harris-arizona-abortion/index.html
Pro-Life Democrat Presidential Candidate Releases Gruesome Ad Showing Babies Killed in Abortions WARNING The following ad shows gruesome images of aborted babies.
March 01, 2024 Statement from Vice President Kamala Harris on Access to Medication Abortion Through Major Retail Pharmacies..The President and I stand with the majority of Americans who believe women should have the freedom to make decisions about their own body and their own lives. We remain committed to defending access to reproductive health care, including medication abortion

Kamala Harris found her voice on abortion rights in the year after Dobbs. Now she’s making it central to her 2024 message. (https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/24/politics/kamala-harris-abortion-rights/index.html)
Everything is at stake’ for reproductive rights in 2024, Harris says as Biden-Trump debate nears Harris’ comments come as the campaign announced it would hold more than 50 events in battleground states and beyond to mark Monday’s second anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision that overturned the federal legal right to an abortion. Biden and his allies are trying to remind voters that the landmark decision in 2022 was made by a high court that included three conservative justices nominated during Trump’s White House tenure. We cannot say that the VP has hand an abortion herself, yet, due to her advocation of abortion on demand, meaning in almost all cases, then her hands are red because of the babies whose blood she has shed. As is the case with all promoters of abortion on demand.

The only justifiable argument for abortion I see would be when this is necessary to save the life of the mother (not the broad "health of the mother"), or rare cases when the infant cannot survive (as in an ectopic pregnancy), while adoption (not by homosexual parents) and a should be facilitated.

However, the Left does indeed fight against it being a states rights issue, and indeed, murdering children should be a fed one.

Trump needs to expose Harris’ unspoken abortion atrocity
-—the lifelong dream of the money-hungry Planned Parenthood abortion business-—

“Abortion on demand with the taxpayers picking up the tab.”

He’s leaving the issue to the people to vote their consciences in the states whether to murder the most vulnerable, innocent lives. No "sanctuary cities" for those who had no say as to their residency. Just exterminate them if inconvenient.

Trump cannot "sign a national abortion ban to outlaw abortion in every single state"

That would be a federal ban.

The Supreme Court has already ruled that abortion is, under the 10th Amendment, it can only be a state issue.

It's not an enumerated power.

Of course, democrats think the president is a king...

The democrat party nightmare candidate is Kamala Harris she’s as big of an idiot as Biden is it’s why they try to keep her from holding meetings with the press .

She like Biden lives by the 50 50 99 rule if she has a 50 50 percent chance of doing something right 99 percent of the time she fails.

A women picks up a man, but they pick up a child, which they decide they do not want, so they toss him off a bridge. A women leaves the door open to her house out in the country as she bakes bread. A starving young lost boy stumbles in, needing food and care. But the women considers this a burden, and did not intend to have one come thru the open door. And does not think she has any obligation to care for one who is so dependent on others that extended nursing will be necessary before he will be able to go outside.

She reasons that it is her house, and she has a right over it, and feels violated by this uninvited entity using her house and sustenance, and so she pushes him out the door he came thru, to be devoured by beasts.

The next day she finds the nest of a migratory bird with eggs, and is careful not to disturb it, since such are protected by law due to the value placed upon them.

In the interest of votes=power, the Left hypocritically advocates for protected "sanctuary cities" for those who choose to enter the US, regardless of the burden imposed thereby upon others, and yet advocates for the extermination of humans who had no choice as to their residency, if the host "country" is unwilling to bear any burden due to the person. Of course, if science could determine a Democrat gene, thus predicting future votes for them, then the Left would selectively become pro-life.

Harris told a crowd of staff, “knowing if Trump gets the chance he will sign a national abortion ban to outlaw abortion in every single state.”

No mention from the newspaper that that's a blatant lie. And after the Supreme Court ruling, I'm not sure he could if he wanted to. If so, why hasn't Biden/Harris made it legal up to (and beyond) birth already?

It's a bald faced lie. He's already stated that he thinks abortion is a states rights/purview issue, period. His only comment was with regard to life of the mother, rape, etc. but ultimately is up to choice. He made no mention of a national ban.

Trump has...refused to say whether he would sign a national abortion ban or a law to give full legal rights to every fertilized egg.

This is a lie.

He has said the issue is up to the states. He does NOT support a federal, one-size-fits-all legislation agenda.

The media does this because Trump won't take their direct "Pledge" to allow abortions. That is not the same as saying he supports a ban. THAT is disinformation.

Too many people buy the baloney of,
“We will fight for reproductive freedom,”
They would probably think differently is it were phrased as,
“We will fight for reproductive freedom the right to kill unborn babies,”
