Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro has canceled a trip to the ritzy New York beach enclave of the Hamptons, as he is being considered to be Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter.
Shapiro was supposed to go to at least two events in the Hamptons, including a meet and greet with wealthy donors at the home of public relations executive Mike Kempner.
“The Governor’s trip was planned several weeks ago and included several fundraisers for his own campaign committee,” Shapiro spokesman Manuel Bonder confirmed to NBC News. “His schedule has changed and he is no longer traveling to the Hamptons this weekend.

So, I don’t believe the left power brokers, many of which are Jewish, are opposed to a Jewish VP. In fact, just the opposite. In addition, Shapiro is governor of a swing state (PA) and as such, he is the head of the democrat party in PA. I.e., He is in a position to supercharge voter fraud in PA and give Harris and incumbent Senator Casey Jr. easy wins.

Exactly right. But some still idiotically cling (as to a life raft) to the desperate belief that Shapiro sealing up PA for Kamulatto will result in the Dems’ automatic loss of Michigan.
The link somebody posted above showed Trump support at something like 2% among Arab-American voters. He’ll do better than that — how could he not, especially when Jill Stein and her 45% isn’t really a factor? — but the idea that “Muzzies For Trump” is going to carry the day in Michigan and save America is ludicrous.

I think Democrats think Pennsylvania is in the bag and that Shapiro is therefore not needed. I think Walz gets the nod.

It’s pretty presumptuous that Kamela is about to unveil her running mate not having had the benefit of a formal nomination herself. Not really ever had actual voters go out and cast a vote for her as President.
The IMPORTANT question she should be asked and concerned about is why she’s out there running for President in such an unprecedented way while a demented cadaver sits in the Oval Office running this country - to save Democracy. It's not as dumb as it seems. Shapiro is a lot of things that Harris isn't. Organized, disciplined, willing to prepare. A VP run w8th Harris would give him the ability to bust out of state-level politics without having to fight his demographic disadvantages that would normally keep people from listening to him in a primary (short white Jewish man who doesn't date other men.) The Dem party is without a clear future right now and Shapiro could waddle right into the establishment wing's leader role and plug that gap without much of a fight.
