00:34 Watch a Sneak Preview of 'Reagan' By Paul Bond Chief Correspondent, Culture FOLLOW 0 At a gathering of about 300 people at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library last week, cast members of the upcoming film Reagan carefully noted that the movie is non-partisan.

An appeal to be bold and exercise your First Amendment right to free speech during the current election cycle was the closest Dennis Quaid, who plays Ronald Reagan in the movie, came to partisanship.

"Everybody should really take a side during this election and be willing to talk ... Republican or Democrat; pick a side and vote, and then let's get on with it," Quaid said.

Quaid also noted the movie is set to open at the perfect time, given how partisan things are nowadays, and noted Reagan's friendly relationship with Tip O'Neill, the Democrat speaker of the House during the Republican's tenure at the White House.

“The movie is nonpartisan...” No such animal. Everyone is partisan-those pushing the nonpartisan lie are usually the left and rino’s (but I repeat myself).

Was reagan able to make recess appointments?
Do you think this Nation’s founders anticipated parliamentary “tricks” occuring to prevent recess appointments from EVER taking place?
Was there any credible, reasonable excuse for Mitch McConnell refusing to allow President Trump to make ANY recess appointments? or was it just deep-state back stabbing?

Dennis Quaid plays Reagan. But who remembers that brother Randy got there first? I remember Randy Qauid playing RR during the ‘85-’86 season of Saturday Night Live.

Reagan's friendly relationship with Tip O'Neill

I think one of Reagan's mistakes was to trust his "friend".
O'Neill was deeply partisan and stabbed Reagan in the back without a shred of remorse.

I see the film will include the fraud about “Reagan’s friendly relationship with Tip O’Neil.” This was a hoax perpetrated by O’Neil buttboy Chris Mathews, years ago. For the truth read Reagan’s diary, in which he makes clear his rational distrust and cold shoulder toward O”Neil, Speaker at the time who stabbed Reagan in the back on a large “bipartisan” Tax deal. They apparently only had dinner together once, with wives attending to keep tempers down, and that was it. No mention of ever “sitting around with a drink trading Irish jokes after hours” which is the BS version rats like to tell.

I don’t remember Ronnie being pals with Tip O’Neill.

Based on interviews with Quaid on Jordan Peterson and elsewhere, the movie should be pro-Reagan in tone. I think that by non-partisan they simply mean it is nota reh-rah myth or hagiography.

I remember tvat Reagan was very popular at the end of his second term, and the talking heads stated that history won’t record him so well. They were wrong. He is now generally identified as a great man and a great president.

When we were leaving Cracker Barrel yesterday, in the CD rack by the door was one of Quaid singing hymns. (”Fallen”, I think.) I didn’t get it, but I think I will.

I guess he’s been singing for a long time.

I enjoyed him singing a duet with Jerry Lee Lewis on “Great Balls Of Fire”.

He’s been making some faith-and-freedom movies lately.

Doesn’t appear that their dislike of one another kept them from enjoying an evening out and sitting together to watch a good show.

He played Jerry Lee Lewis in a movie named after the song.

Inviting Trump to a theater is part of their plan. I would not go.

Right. That’s when I heard him saying with JLL — maybe the closing music

Kreepy Kamala can’t be allowed within 10 miles of a showing of a Reagan movie.
