Might as well. The dollar is about to collapse and we’ll need a way to get stuff
Warren Bufffit and I think crypto is a scam.
No. We need gold and silver. And lots of it.
I think this is one of those times.
He should have stopped by saying the Government has no business interfering with or trying to regulate crypto in order to allow the US to become the world leader.
A strategic bitcoin reserve is a terrible idea.
But it’s one of the best ideas our government has had in decades, so I’m on board.
Really? Trump pushing crypto makes me uncomfortable....leading right into digital currency.
Sometime shows up on the Stupid side. Bit coin requires tons of computer resources. It requires and incredible amount of power. And if that system goes down then everyone is left with nothing at all. So in the event of a large war. Those people are screwed. Stupid Stupid Stupid. Meanwhile a traditional account is just a simple number stored either on paper or a set memory location. In the best of circumstances it would be backed up by Gold or Silver.
I don’t understand Bitcoin.
IMHO - This is a needless distraction and a poorly thought out position.
Somewhat off topic but we know dozens of other central banks are buying gold hand over fist and/or repatriated from the NY Fed or Bank of England. I don’t hear of any central bank stockpiling bitcoin.
Seems that we should be accumulating bullion as well, for a number of reasons, but I don’t see any indication that we are or plan to.
Does anyone know if we are and if not why not?
I tend to think bankcards should have two numbers, a visible one for online purchases and an electronic/magnetic one for physical purchases.
Online purchases should have to be confirmed via cellphone unless other arrangements have been made with the bank.
Microsoft’s efforts to fight fraud have caused me great annoyance. I’ve wasted over 100 hours in some years.
Nothing is safe from a communist government.
Retire if you can.

Boys and girls, welcome to the future. Whether you like it or not, you most likely don’t understand it. BTC will rule politics for the future. The DNC is against it. This is the backdoor to reigning in the FED. But it is the key to holding the white house into the future. The Crypo segment of the population cuts across all groups.
When you realize that Blackrock is both the first approved BTC EFT and the one Govt investor that has the most to lose in Ukraine, you will understand why the USG approved those ETFs in January of this year. Bitcoin was an opportunity for the major players to recoup their losses in Ukraine. BTC is naturally indexed for inflation, because the power of the many, althought few, makes it the top investment in the world.
Bitcoin will eventually have it’s place in every profolio that is managed. If one percent of all money was spent or put into Bitcoin, it would push it into the millions.

Bitcoin and the rest of Crypto are not backed by anything at all, The dollar is fiat and back on by the good graces of the U.S. Government. If the computers crash Crypto goes with it. Not something sound I would want to put any trust in.
I would be more impressed if Trump was trying to get the U.S. back to any kind of sound money policies which we need. Pretty soon we will be seeing a $10 Trillion Dollar Budget and how we will pay it? Harris touts Medicare for all, including Illegals, so where will she get the extra $5 Trillion or so to pay for it?
This is all about bringing us to the new monetary system that will be backed by gold or gold and silver. He can’t just come out and say it yet. If people can’t accept the word quantum maybe they’ll call it bitcoin. Although I have heard they are going to use XRP as the transfer mechanism.
Trump gets the discussions going.
Perhaps bringing back the gold standard for US currency is his real motivation.
