No matter who President Trump picked, they were going to get savaged. Senator JD Vance is no exception, seems like he's handling it well. He's a good choice, hopefully he fits Trump's strategic considerations, which I suspect are the rust belt and midwest--Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, etc.

He'll be in Reno next Tuesday, I'll be going and will be curious to see the crowd and his evolving stump speech.

“No matter who President Trump picked, they were going to get savaged.”

Exactly! They have been worse against Trump than they were past GOP nominees, but that’s because he didn’t fold at the first signs of criticism as those such as Romney did. It has shocked the Democrats that their usual tactics have not worked against Trump.

Remember the articles and protests against Bush? Remember the hate against Pence? Now they practically hold up them, Romney, and Liz Cheney as the “right” kind of Republicans. How quickly people forget.

“No matter who President Trump picked, they were going to get savaged.”

It goes with the game, like Dan Quayle and Sarah Palin.

No matter who President Trump picked, they were going to get savaged.

That is absolutely a true statement. In fact, the better that VP choice looks, the more aggressive the attacks! That's what we're seeing now.

Vance is no alter boy or even perfect politician, but he's better than anything else coming out of that cesspool called DC.

And, a big AND, he is young, and if he (or we) does not self-destruct, he may set the stage for a long run in the White House.
