Rumors of Trump suffering buyer's remorse after choosing Vance as his 2024 running mate have been rampant since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the likely Democratic presidential nominee.
While Trump has publicly insisted that he is happy with Vance, saying the senator is "doing a fantastic job" and has been "very well received" by the public during a Fox News interview on Thursday, worries remain about whether the Ohio senator could be a liability for Republicans in November.
Paul Begala, who served as White House adviser and chief strategist during Clinton's successful 1992 campaign, suggested during a CNN appearance on Thursday night that Trump may decide to ditch Vance in favor of former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley.

The chances of Trump doing anything with Niki Haley is pretty much zero.
I think it's safe to say Niki is not Trumps favorite person and a huge number of her supporters are actually Democrats activists who have no intention of voting for Haley or any Republican.
I find Vance to be very effective, especially at going on offense against Kamala in an articulate fashion.
Trump has high negatives with suburban women for being combative so Vance can take the lead on this one and let Trump avoid some of the negativity.
Also, the prime advantage of JD Vance is his ability to connect with traditional Democrat constituencies that are being screwed and left behind by lunatic liberals who control the Democrat party and are running the country into the ground.
If Vance hones his ability to reach out to disaffected Democrats and Democrat leaning Independents and to effectively articulates how they are being screwed by the Democrats and why they should support Trump he will be a winning asset.
