Earth just had its two warmest days in over 80 years, topping a record set just one year ago.

The back-to-back records: On Sunday, globally averaged temperatures over the planet's oceans and land masses reached 17.09 degrees Celsius (62.76 degrees Fahrenheit), according to the European Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S).

That was 0.01 degrees Celsius above the previous warmest day for the planet set on July 6, 2023, in the ERA5 dataset dating to 1940, according to C3S.

Thank you!

There are few things I would like more than for my words to be used in the service of tormenting grandchildren!

Malarkey.

We’re having cooler temps this summer in most parts of Texas.

And Baghdad has been having weather more in in line with late September temperatures most of this month.

Those are two pretty good samples, in my opinion.

I have decided to adjust the temperature record for *reasons*. BOOM, I just made adjustment "A", and I have Earth as the coolest its been in a million years. Then BOOM, I just made adjustment "B" and now I have Earth as being the warmest its been in a million years.

When I can just go "BOOM" and adjust the numbers, then I can say anything I want, whenever I want!

Is that how science really works?

NO!

But it is how "climate science" does.

Stupid weather schmucks are on a roll. We had pleasant Texas summer days on those two days. All weather is local, idiots!

The pavement of the runways affects temperature readings a lot more than the jet engines, as does the general build-up of infrastructure nearby.

Yep. But even at that, they don’t have the data to even pretend before 1979.

And in the late 1980s, they sent out new digital monitoring equipment with 50’ commmunications cables, resulting in stations which used to be in fields being moved right next to buildings. Some notable “warmest day” measurements are associated with vehicle generators being set next to the stations for a few days.

We’re baking in Florida. Nice your small area is nice. But it’s boiling in many places.

They always do not give you the data from the 1930’s. Much warmer

I believe I read last year that the temperature gauges they use were found to have been moved closer to urban areas. Needed to get those temps up in order to promote the fraud.

Convenient selection of reference point. 4 years before 1940 that Dust Bowl catastrophe was occurring, partially caused by drought and high temperatures. Many records set in 1936, 4 year before this article’s reference point.

Selective editing of facts can “prove” all kinds of things.
