Kamala Harris’ Past Affair Comes Back to Haunt Her as Ex Speaks Out on Biden’s Replacement

Conservatives have a strong case against Vice President Kamala Harris if they can avoid salaciousness and frame the issue properly.

On Sunday, according to The San Francisco Standard, former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown held an impromptu news conference outside a restaurant in which he endorsed Harris as President Joe Biden’s replacement at the top of the Democratic presidential ticket.

To put it mildly, Harris could have done without Brown’s endorsement.

The establishment media, of course, will gloss over important details of his history with the vice president. For instance, the Standard noted merely that Brown “dated Harris when she was an Alameda County prosecutor in the mid-1990s.”

Willie Brown invited reporters to John’s Grill, and held forth on Biden’s exit, Democrats’ future and Harris’ VP pick. https://t.co/yhbOHPARvo

The truth, however, goes beyond mere dating.

According to a 2019 Politico Magazine profile, San Francisco newspapers began mentioning Harris’ name in 1994, when one columnist, on the occasion of Brown’s 60th birthday, noted that actor Clint Eastwood had spilled champagne on Brown’s “new steady.”

Harris, the”new steady,” was only 29.

Before long, her romantic relationship with Brown paid off.

We know about it. The DNC is aware of it. But that’s all. No one else cares. The typical voter in the Democratic Party is clueless. Never heard of Willie Brown.

Wow, she's got her former boyfriend's endorsement. Impressive. Not.

I really hope that it doesn’t deteriorate to name calling and insults. She did what she did and now she is practically the President of the United States. She is an example to all women of the power of using femininity to get ahead. It’s a totally non-feminist idea. The important thing is to look at her policies and ideals and her lack of accomplishments. What can be burdened by what has been.

Sad to say, an affair these days doesn’t raise eyebrows. In fact, in some liberal circles, it is a badge of honor.

Conservatives might be upset but liberals won’t care.

Naomi Wolf wrote, "This kind of sexist take from Republican men will not play well. Swing voters who are women are up for grabs, the Trump/Vance ticket needs them, and ‘she slept her way to the top’ just repels many women and is not an argument.”

Naomi Wolf is correct, especially given Trump's history as a womanizer. No, it wasn't a career move for him; it was just for fun.

It’s a loser issue for Trump, though. Women don’t like it, and without them he is toast. JD Vance is also proving a lousy pick as he absolutely sucks on the stump. Palin-level cringe already.

Too late; they’re already calling Trump a rapist, thief, cheater, insurrectionist, and convicted felon.

This is old news - everyone knows about Willie. After Clinton and Lewinsky (and JFK) and others nobody cares about this stuff. In fact it backfires as we get accused of slut shaming.

NB the excerpt fails to mention that Willie was married (still is). He subsequently got a white fundraiser pregnant - baby mama. This came out at the same time as Jesse Jackson lol.

Yeah. We shouldn’t draw attention to her past indiscretions. We are Republicans. We are better than that. We take the high road. We abide by the ‘Marquess of Queenberry’s Rules’...except when it comes to attacking conservatives. Then the gloves come off.

If it’s fair game to talk about Stormy Daniels, it’s fair game to talk about Willie Brown.

Like the abortion issue, it’s only a loser if it’s not framed properly. Trump shouldn’t bring it up out of nowhere, but if Kamala wants to go there with Trump on the womanizing, etc. he absolutely needs to unleash on her, and point out what a bad example she is to young woman on how to get ahead in life.

After she got a high-paying no show patronage job from Willy Brown, the crafty, opportunistic Kamala went on to greener pastures.

Although Brown supported Harris in her successful 2003 run for San Francisco DA, she tried to distance herself from him in that race, telling SF Weekly that Brown – whose career was dogged by corruption allegations – was an “albatross hanging around my neck.”

“His career is over; I will be alive and kicking for the next 40 years. I do not owe him a thing,” she told SF Weekly, vowing, “If there is corruption, it will be prosecuted.”

Among the issues that followed Harris from her time with Brown was the allegation of cronyism in his appointment of Kamala to two well-paying posts.

“I appointed her to two state commissions when I was Assembly speaker,” Brown wrote. Brown was the speaker from 1980 to 1995, prior to his stint as San Francisco mayor.

Brown appointed Harris to the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and then to the Medical Assistance Commission – positions that paid her more than $400,000 over five years, according to SF Weekly. Brown also gave Harris a BMW.

“And I certainly helped with her first race for district attorney in San Francisco,” he said. “I have also helped the careers of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Gov. Gavin Newsom, Sen. Dianne Feinstein and a host of other politicians,” he added.

“The difference is that after I helped her, Kamala sent word that I would be indicted if I so much as jaywalked.”

Brown later questioned her suitability for higher office.

It’s fun to make fun of the slut. As a leader she sucked. People who actually have had to work for her quit on mass. A genuine leader inspires confidence and their courage is contagious . They bring out the best in those who follow them. Harris only brings out contempt and anger. Any leadership position, much less the top , is way beyond her pay grade.
