ElevenLabs, an 17-month old no-name AI start up - one amongst a zillion - with a product that is basically a commodity, without any peer-reviewed validation of this product’s accuracy, is no better than the Covid shots.

But I’m supposed to believe the tweet because…why? Because it supports MY side’s argument?

And who in the wide world of sports is Matthew Sabia? Did anyone consider the possibility that he’s a paid “influencer” and this tweet was basically a commercial for ElevenLabs? If you spend any time in this space, that kind of nonsense happens ALL the time.

But noooo, we are lectured, it’s an anti-Dem tweet…it’s GOTTA be true, and if you question it well you are a Deep Stater or a troll or a Zeeper or Putinista or a tranny blah blah blah.

In addition, butterdezillion had trouble replicating the results.

And for what it’s worth, half of the country doesn’t believe it was Biden live anyway. This is hardly News, let alone BREAKING NEWS.

At worst Biden’s “call” was a heavily edited recording with just enough phlegm to make you think it’s Him. You can tell it’s a recording because when the crowd cheered, “Joe” didn’t stop.

Or it’s AI. Big whoop. Has anyone thought about how to stop fraud or ballot harvesting?

Back in the day, before everyone got screwed in Covid, there was healthy skepticism, spirited challenge, investigation, and factual analysis on the right vs emotionalism on the left.

Not as much nowadays. There is a cluster of lost souls who, perhaps due to a loss of hope and a belief that America is doomed, eat up every piece of garbage on social media, Gateway Pundit, Slay News, and a few other New Media toilets.

Nonetheless, a few of us still hold that some unknown dude posting a “test” on Twitter using unvalidated software that’s maybe a yearish old by some VC startup is at best to be trusted with skepticism, and at worst an infomercial.

I think you’re not fully representing what my son found.

What we found was that Eleven Labs’ testing to see whether a sample was created by them was not accurate, at least at the time we tested it. It claimed that samples created by them were NOT created by them. False negatives. We didn’t test enough to find out whether their site also gave false positives.

The testing we did is an epistemology that is the opposite of the attitude you’re describing. I’ve been gone this evening so I haven’t seen if people are saying we have to believe this X post just because it’s what we want to believe. But my son and another poster did the testing to find out what is true, not what anybody wanted to hear.

We can’t say for sure whether the X post is accurate. Some more testing could make a reasoned guess possible. What we’ve found so far shows that the Biden “call” could be AI-generated even though testing now says it’s only 2% likely to be their AI generation because a sample that we know was generated by them was also said to only be 2% likely to have been generated by them.

The reason to care is because if they used an AI-generated recording there must have been a reason for that - most likely because Biden is not capable of speaking like the AI-generated recording or because Biden is dead. Knowing whether it was really Biden on that call can help us to identify if they have one of the alleged 9 or so fake “Bidens” speak tomorrow. And this all matters because the people who will fake a President can also fake a resignation and do an assassination. And the public REALLY needs to be made aware of the sick “games” these people are willing to play that makes a sham out of “democracy”. When the public realizes that, they can roll their eyes at the dem talking points saying Trump is the enemy of “democracy” just like these crooks deserve to have everybody do. These jerkwads don’t even have to be moving their lips to be lying.

The normies need to fully real-ize that.

It’s actually refreshing to have the BLM people note how this whole democrat coup makes a sham out of “democracy”.

To be clear, I’m not putting you or your son in the camp of those who put faith in strangers on Twitter just because the look like One Of Us. Quite the contrary, you attacked the issue empirically. Kudos to you.

I understand your point about if they can pass off an AI voice as the President etc. We’ve been lied to for at least 4 years - as the saying goes, the difference between a conspiracy and the truth is 6 months. This would be the Mother of All Lies.

At the same time, it could be that Biden is just a hot mess and for optics they played a recording to make it look like the Live President. That is bad enough. I also believe that’s more plausible than the lie and conspiracy.

Your point - the Big Lie - is separate from my point - blind trust. That said, they both share pursuing the truth through the scientific method.

My son believes that, based on Eleven’s description of how they verify what could have come from them, they use some kind of fingerprint or watermark in their files. What they say is that they can only detect that it’s from them if there have been no modifications to the file. My son says it depends on how they do things and how much integrity their process has, but it could be that simply compressing the file messes up the fingerprint/watermark. So false negatives would/could be very common.

A false positive would be very, very difficult unless you knew how they do the fingerprinting/watermarking. If that really was the Eleven site and it came up with 98% likely, it was almost certainly from them.

But he said that since the guy on X didn’t show the URL for the site it wouldn’t be difficult to fake that it was on that site. Even with the URL, he says, it would be possible to fake it but it would be a lot harder.

So - long story short and after I’ve racked my brain to understand the in-depth explanations my son gave me - we could only know for sure whether it really was the Eleven site by examining his computer and only if the computer hadn’t had any history deleted.

Or if Eleven showed that they had that file in their records. But I kinda wonder if that would even work because it would have to be the original file and not just a clip from the original file or a recording of the original file being played and responded to by Kamala etc.

Kamala’s blooper, accidentally referring to the recording and then correcting herself by saying “the call” is probably more damning than anything we can prove by the Eleven site.

My husband had dementia. He lost a lot of abilities as we were preparing for our son’s wedding. My husband was a pastor and my son had been hoping that his dad could preach at the wedding. I knew it would be too iffy to have him do anything live so I suggested that I write a sermon based on the things I had heard him preach at other weddings and then have him read the sermon on video which would then be played for the wedding. Which is what you’re suggesting they might have done for Biden, without using AI.

I seriously doubt whether Biden could do it though. If he was reading he was reading very quickly and with a lot of names. He had expression in his voice. It didn’t seem like it was done through many “takes” like the one short announcement quite a while ago required.

To get a believable sermon we had to do a lot of “takes” and there wasn’t much expression. It was the best we could do. By the time of the wedding a few months later he was mostly unable to communicate at all so just hearing anything from him was a gift. Until the day before the wedding when we traveled 3 hours to get to the church, I didn’t know for sure if I was going to make it to the wedding because my husband was in a belligerent phase where we could not make him get into and out of a vehicle. I’m so thankful we got there and back. That recording could have been the only presence we might have had for the wedding.

What Jill and the cabal have been doing to Joe Biden is a crime.
