Critics slammed CNN after anchor John King said there were “risks” in putting forward Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as the Democratic vice presidential nominee because “he’s Jewish.”
“He’s certainly under consideration,” King said on CNN Sunday night, referencing discussions with allies of Vice President Kamala Harris.
“He’s a first-term governor, he’s Jewish, there could be some risks in putting him on the ticket, but certainly some of our voters here in Pennsylvania said, ‘Hey, we like Gov. Shapiro, give him a look,'” he added.
The popular X account StopAntisemitism underscored the hateful comment by pointing out how different the response would be if another ethnic minority were singled out: “Replace ‘Jewish’ with ‘Muslim’ or ‘Black…'”

It’s a problem for leftists. They’ve always hated Jews, and still Jewish people vote for them. I don’t get it.
I actually saw that report and he simply stated the fact that because of the large percentage of Muslims in Michigan, Shapiro being a Jew might be an issue considering everything going on with Hamas protestors and the war.
I kinda like Governor Shapiro—leave him alone!

I agree, you are right that it was not at an anti-semitic comment. But it does highlight a kind of hypocrisy on the left where they are willing to go much further criticizing Jews other minority groups.
Democrats are desperate. I don’t think that Shapiro is a practicing Jew, but that doesn’t mean that the far left would accept him. There was a lot of election cheating that put Shapiro in office in the first place. It might help Democrats distract from DEI, though.
2028 will be Moore Gilchrist if the Democrats can move Whitmer out and get Gilchrist his spotlight.
John King is correct and is one of the few semi honest people at CNN. Shapiro is a major risk as a VP because being a Jew in today’s Democrat Party is not a comfortable place to be. The Hamas wing of the party would be an extremely upset. No matter because Kamala will be a disaster, somewhere along the lines of Dukakis, but due to basic electoral demographics, Trump can probably only top out at about 330.
Those that lived through the 1960 election remember the RATs saying much the same about JFK’s Catholic faith.

The only reason to do it would be he’s a sacrificial lamb (like Harris) and to try to keep Jewish people in the Democrat ghetto, as my tribe is waking up a bit to how anti-Semitic the Left is. FINALLY.
