Sen. Joe Manchin (I-WV) is reportedly thinking about returning to the Democrats and running for the White House now that President Joe Biden has announced he would be ending his 2024 re-election bid.
CNN’s Jake Tapper reported Sunday on X that sources close to Manchin said the senator is considering re-registering to the Democratic Party and “throwing his hat into the ring.”
Sources also told NBC News that Manchin was considering a bid against Vice President Kamala Harris, who is the only declared candidate seeking the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination so far.

Manchin has no appeal outside of WV. Young ppl have no clue who this old white guy is. It’s only DC insiders who give this guy any credence.
The next news on X May be a copy of Biden’s death certificate. He hasn’t been seen for awhile. I hope they all form a circular firing squad at their convention and commence firing. Manchin can stand in the middle and be fire director.
If Biden is truly sick, wouldn’t the conspirators simply wait?
Some states will not allow a ballot change at this late date unless the candidate dies. His demise clears up a lot of loose ends. IMO.

I think NM, GA, and Wisconsin are three of these states. Resignation won’t do it, it has to be the demise is what I understand. I think the first two are already locked but I believe the Wisconsin dead line( no pun intended) is coming soon. I might be wrong but it’s what I heard.

I think it’s a crack induced wet dream on Manchin’s part but an open democrat convention is practically guaranteed. Then we’ll see the folks pulling the strings pull out the chosen one and steal an election in November. IMO
The rules about changes apply after the nominee is on the ballot. He was not the nominee yet so those rules are not relevant.
