I went college with a girl named Beatrice (Betty) her family called her “Bed whack” which struck me as strange and creepy until I found out she’d gotten a scar on her lip from jumping on the bed and landing, face first, on the foot board.
LOL! I once met a lady named ‘Bug’.
It’s been many years, but as I recall the story, when she was young, her family were tobacco farmers, and she used to help with the harvest. One day a creepy insect entered the process and she freaked. Her family called her ‘Bug’ after that.
