I think Trump may have had a hand in it—control of the Senate is critical to getting Trump/GOP legislation passed.
I’ve never made it to a Trump rally, but did make it to the mall on January 6th. It was an awesome day with the crowd in the hundreds of thousands. Right in the middle of Covid and that hudge crowd showed up anyway. Fortunately, I had somewhere else to be and was on the Metro back to Alexandria just before the mess at the Capital building.

Yep I thought it was over..I thought at first it was firecrackers..because I saw people in the stands smiling so I thought OK its some knucklehead with firecrackers..but when Trump grabbed his head and went down I said OMG HE’S BEEN SHOT I thought he was dead..and I could hear the agents on the floor talking I had no idea what they were saying I thought thats it, he’s gone..but when he got back up it was just a miracle

Yep. That was all of us. By the Grace of God and his intervening hand everything this past week would have been so different.
