Ukraine is on its way to being able to “stand on its own feet” militarily, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Friday, noting that more than 20 other countries have pledged to maintain their own military and financial aid to the country even if the U.S. were to withdraw its support under a different president.

Blinken for the first time directly addressed the possibility that former President Donald Trump could win the November election and back away from commitments to Ukraine.

Trump’s public comments have varied between criticizing U.S. backing for Ukraine’s defense and supporting it, while his running mate, Sen. JD Vance, has been a leader of Republican efforts to block what have been billions in U.S. military and financial assistance to Ukraine since Russia invaded in 2022.

“If the other countries can do it without us, great. I have my doubts.”

Without the US fully engaged, Europe has no will to fight.

It’s the price of nearly 70 years of enabling their weakness. They will even drop the Russia! Russia! outrage. And they will seek an “understanding” with Russia.

Baghdad Bob speaks.
Ukraine is getting their a$$ handed to them, and more billions from the US won’t stop it. Russia will outlast them.

Blinky needs to start a GFM page for Z and call that good. We’re going to need all those pallets of taxpayer dollars to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. Bidenskyyyyyyyyyy and his “81 Million” have done a lot of damage to America with their four-year fentanyl party.

The war is over in 6 months.

Blinken doesn’t listen well. Trump will stop hostilities. So they can spend their support money re-building Ukraine.
