Joe Biden said Friday that he looks forward to getting back on the campaign trail “next week” as more Democrats are publicly calling for the president to step aside in the 2024 race.
“I look forward to getting back on the campaign trail next week to continue exposing the threat of Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda while making the case for my own record and the vision that I have for America: one where we save our democracy, protect our rights and freedoms, and create opportunity for everyone,” Biden said in a statement issued by his campaign Friday. “The stakes are high, and the choice is clear. Together, we will win.”
The president remains in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware on Friday as he continues self-isolate and recover from Covid.

My mother in law who lived to be 97 and was sharp as she could be, reading up to three books at a time, had us take away her keys when she turned 90. My father, again sharp but quite frail, didn’t get the message until we told him that we wouldn’t let our kids ride with him. Sad.

I don’t know if you have dealt with senile folks up close and personal.
They want what they want—and they could care less what anybody else has to say.
Biden will not go voluntarily.
They will have to kill him if they want him out....
Trump just needs to run ads quoting the Dems urging Joe to drop out and the news headlines stating Biden will lose. The closing part should say something like “do you want to vote for for a person whose own party doesn’t think he can do the job”.
Potentially the best rat fight, evah!
I suppose it is possible that his behavior over the past month could be the result of exhaustion, coupled with jet lag and pre-covid starting up, then turning into full blown covid. Throw in some constipation, and in an elderly person, the combination could definitely throw one off one’s game. Hang in there, Joe! We’re counting on you!

It’s true. The hardest part of senility is when a person is still with it enough to feel humiliated by their increasing dementia. They fight the slide.
I think you are right. He has been there a long time. Somewhere in his brain he must know a lot if he can find it.
My mother in her later years was like Biden—hostile, mean and nasty—and lied like a rug.
That was on her good days.

We’re living it right now, my mom is gone. You can’t say anything to them. She lost her teeth, twice. If we don’t let her get teeth, she’s calling a lawyer.

The family of a dementia patient I had, solved the car problem by “borrowing” the car. She was more than happy to help them out with their “need” of a car.
Looks like the little covid break was really some time spent with fake Dr. Jill and Humper, reminding him again and again and again that he’s NOT withdrawing from the race, and to stop saying otherwise!
