Facebook Twitter WhatsApp LinkedIn SMS Email Copy article link Save EASTON, Pa. – Northampton County Council rejected a resolution concerning election integrity during its meeting Thursday night.

The legislation calls for fair elections and that each legitimate vote is counted. The resolution is a response to issues with electronic voting machines from vendor Election Systems & Software during the 2019 and 2023 elections.

The resolution cites an organization called "Keep Our Republic," with the bill's impetus. Keep Our Republic says it is a non-partisan organization "dedicated to protecting a republic of laws and strengthening the checks and balances of our democratic electoral system."

Why would anyone vote against this? If this is not more proof of corruption with the electoral system, then I don't know what is.

The vote failed, 6-3. By a remarkable coincidence, there are 6 Democrats and 3 Republicans on the council.

Northampton County is a bellwether for the rest of the state (not the rest of the *country*) in presidential elections, almost never varying by much more than 1% from the statewide average in recent years.

Election results for Northampton County, PA

It normally votes just slightly to the left of center, but has been gerrymandered such that the Democrats have a solid 6-3 advantage on the council, and those liberals stick together -- especially when it comes to something as important as their ability to commit vote fraud.

I do not forget it was the PA State house - run by Republicans at the time - who okayed all the mail-in ballot initiatives back in the day.

Isn’t Northampton County the home of the King of Election Fraud, Governor Shapiro?

The resolution is a response to issues with electronic voting machines from vendor Election Systems & Software during the 2019 and 2023 elections.>>> Machines are tools they don’t have issues. People program them bottom up. And some people are very bad at it. There can be audit controls put in place to verify each level of software with “bonds” to support some of the external controls but in the end people make the tools, use the tools and adequate controls are necessary to monitor the builds and use of tools. Could be a hammer or a computer scanner.counter.printer machine. THere are no controls in any election process therefore elections are fraudulent. Any human process that cannot be audited is on its face fraudulent.

“ I do not forget it was the PA State house - run by Republicans at the time - who okayed all the mail-in ballot initiatives back in the day.”

That is not correct.

They helped pass a law that was not bad, which was then (unconstitutionally) changed by the D Governor and D PA SC to allow mass mail in ballots.

Which are expressly not permitted under the PA Constitution.

A lower PA Cpourt found it unconstitutional. The PA SC overturned that ruling. It awaits a hearing by SCOTUS.
