Biden's resistance to dropping out is coming from a place of 'delusion': CNN political commentator

CNN political commentator S.E. Cupp said Thursday that Democratic lawmakers were leaking their conversations with President Biden because they feel they can't get through to him about dropping out of the race.

"Democrats are so desperate to get through to Joe Biden and they’re not, that now they're leaking these private conversations as sort of an outside effort to triangulate and really force Joe Biden to acknowledge the realities of the state of his campaign. And unfortunately, I think his resistance does not look like it’s coming from a position of strength but a position of delusion," Cupp said.

There is little different about how Biden is now from how he has been the past 3 years!! The only thing that has changed are his polling numbers and the media is beginning to actually cover his senility.

Remember, Bernie got bought off by a new vacation home. How much will it take for the Dems to buy off Joey?

Up until a few weeks ago, they were all kissing his butt. He must be genuinely perplexed by the sudden change from his legion of butt kissers.

He’s demented. How are they supposed to get through to him?!

Her selection as VP would have to be approved by both houses of Congress.

With only six months left before the next Inauguration Day, she may not even bother selecting a VP.

I believe this to be true. I watched a snippet of the BET interview yesterday, where he stated he would consider dropping out if he was diagnosed with a medical condition. In the next sentence (after some stuttering) he said...(paraphrasing) that with the country so divided he believed HE has the wisdom and experience to get the country through the division. I thought then, he wasn’t going anywhere.

Biden’s brain is so demented he can only conjure up
thoughts about what is best for him Hunter and Jill.

Nothing too deep about what’s best for the country.

“...a position of delusion,” Cupp said.

Oh that rich!

Just dripping with irony, or karma, because it’s delusion that got you Biden in the first place.

Joe believes what Dr. Jill has been feeding him for the last 4 years. He's the savior of democracy, the nation loves him, and the polls all show it.

His mind is similar to how Plato discussed the Allegory of the Cave.

Someone should redo this illustration and put Joe in it.

Nah doesnt work that way. If he drops out of the race he drops out of the presidency and resigns period..so that would be admitting he’s a demented fool who cant handle the job. The DNC RIGGED the primaries to ensure that biden got the easiest path to the nomination, no one could run against him..so now after 14 million people voted they want a do-over cause Biden is going to lose..oh hell no they cant do that..so what, if two months from now it looks like Trump is going to lose we can have a do-over too..that is not how this country runs..they got their candidate they are stuck with him

I was certain some time ago that he would dig in his heels tenaciously just based on his past words and actions going all the way back to the ‘80s.

Look how he has treated his own constituents at rallies and speeches when they dare to question or criticize him even in a small way. In their grill, angry face, yelling, ad-hominems, challenges to physical contests ...

I suspect that Biden's "resistance" to dropping out is a poorly performed act, and that for a long, long time, he has had no actual plans of running, but he goes along with the delay. (I don't know this, it's merely my strong hunch.)

The longer the delay, the less time there is for actual Dem voters to have a say in the nom(s) and the easier it is for the Dem elites to get their chosen peeps in and to maintain power. (Recall that the Dems are the party of the superdels, and that apparent outsider RFK jr has apparently been shown little accommodation or courtesy.)

Again, I might be wrong, and I'd love to be wrong.

Actually, the other day I saw a video of him from 2020. While still showing clear signs of dementia, he was far more “with it” than he is now.

That’s not true. There’s nothing at all in the law or the Constitution that would make him resign the presidency just because he decides to drop out of the race. Nothing at all.

Anyone who has dealt with an aging loved one knows there is a “good days, bad days” aspect to this. We may yet see him appear far more with it. But he is likely now experiencing more bad days than good ones.

In 2020, he was able to hide for much of the campaign, shielding us from seeing really bad days. His problem now is he is behind in the polls so a hide in the basement strategy won’t work.

In 2020 he was staging campaign events where he was fielding questions and reading the answers on a teleprompter.

The only difference between Biden in 2024 and Biden in 1995 is the he’s now both retarded AND senile … as opposed to just retarded.

Legally, you are correct. But the optics for a scenario where he drops out of the race for “medical reasons” while remaining in office would be beyond awful for the Democrats.

Look how powerful the media is. They are able to push most Presidents out in under a month.
