The mounting pressure from several close friends and congressional leaders will persuade President Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race as soon as this weekend, several top Democrats told Axios.
The outlet noted that privately, Biden “resigned to mounting pressure, bad polls, and untenable scrutiny making it impossible to continue his campaign,” a Democratic source said. Top leaders of the party, his friends, and donors believe that Biden does not have a shot at winning and “can’t change public perceptions of his age and acuity” (via Axios):
The president is being told that if he stays in, former President Trump could win in a landslide and wipe away Biden's legacy and Democrats' hopes in November.
[...]
Democrats fully expect polls after the Republican National Convention to show a possible blowout that could bring down Democrats in Congress, too.

…”…and untenable scrutiny “
Lol, actually publicly holding him to some observable standard.
Here’s the discussion for that Axios article.

Still laughing at the debate challenge by Biden from the time Merchan was running his clown show trial.
“Make my day, pal!”

Tough guy. LOLOLOL
Make sure if you’re polled you say you’re for Biden between now and August 19th
This is what I posted earlier this morning.
I'm going to suggest that the motives for doing this are a headfake. They want us to believe that they are accelerating the nominating process in order to lock Biden in ASAP, perhaps to avoid a floor fight at the convention.
I'm suggesting that the Democrat party insiders want to nominate Biden sooner because they can then force Biden out and take advantage of DNC rules to replace the duly nominated candidate with a candidate of the DNC leadership's choice. This candidate would then appear at the DNC Convention as the party's duly chosen candidate.
If they cancel the virtual nomination and wait for the DNC Convention, chaos will result from a brokered convention. The DNC elite aren't doing this to avoid a brokered convention, they are doing to lock out the delegates from the decision entirely.

Yes, keep going, Joe! You’ll never be more popular than you are right now (truly).
They don’t want to give up the money.
Heels Up/Mike ‘24!!!
I think they’ll wait until after Trump’s speech tonight. They won’t give him a chance to attack Harris in prime time. Tomorrow morning, expect the announcement.
Coke adds life!
If he does not step aside soon, he faces a strong likelihood of being killed off by agents of DNC using some kind of medical crisis induced by injections or additions to food, etc, Soviet-Russian style. So I would say, either he steps aside (he does not need to resign presidency, just LBJ scenario and say he isn’t running) or they off him. By end of this month. Fast action is required or the Democruds run into technical issues getting replacement legally available for voters.

Is This It for the Election?
Yes, it don’t matter who the Communist replace him with. The election is over. Trump wins!
LOL
NEWSMAX reporting Biden has agreed to drop out this weekend.
Not endorse Harris, open convention.
Harris reportedly mulling over a running mate.
Last open convention was 1952, and both parties had them. Neither Eisenhower nor Stevenson had the nomination nailed.
I believe the Dem thinking is to replace Biden thru a process resulting in a NOT-Kamala candidate.
Kamala fans would not like that.
The upside for the Democrats is that an open convention makes for exciting TV. The party gets to put its best forward.
The downside is that the convention is to be held in Chicago, and the faction that loses will take its violence both to the convention floor and the streets. That also makes for exciting TV.
More popcorn lol
This is from Mark Halperin.....so we have to see.
“ Kamala fans would not like that.”
There’s such a thing?
