It is amazing that he is just speaking off the cuff from is heart without earpieces. I’ll bet the promoter operators are going nuts trying to keep up with him as he just drops in whole paragraphs of personal observations. I love this guy. The greatness just pours out of him.

I've seen well over a hundred fiery, bombastic Trump speeches over the years. While I like that style, many others are turned off by that style.

This speech is more subdued, statesmanlike. I think it is fine for a nomination speech at a national convention in which millions of people who don't normally listen to Trump speak are tuned in.

The events of Saturday definitely had an impact on him. The death of Corey and the serious injuries of the other two rally attendees must be weighing heavily on him mind. Not to mention that he was within an inch of being killed himself.

He may eventually regain his old style but I think this more measured and "gentle" manner will serve him well in the homestretch of this campaign.

We must win big in order to save America.
