The U.S. Secret Service said Wednesday that it stood by its female agents and was appalled by some of the criticism they’ve received on conservative social media since Saturday’s attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
The Secret Service, in a statement to NBC News, said that the criticism from pundits and influencers was baseless. The agency also stood by its commitment to diversity in recruiting as helping, not hurting, the effectiveness of its protective teams.
The statement follows a multiday campaign of derision by some conservatives who accused Kimberly Cheatle, the Secret Service director, of being unqualified and who said that female agents assigned to Trump hadn’t been physically capable of protecting him. Some critics said the Secret Service should return to being all-male, which it hasn’t been since 1970.

Nothing can add a foot of height to the short female in front of Trump who left Trump’s head exposed. The still photo tells that story.

AND, NOTHING can refute the courage of the young lady. With hot lead in the air and still flying, she was doing her duty! If she were my daughter, and I have one about her age AND SIZE, I would be totally proud of her.
All that said, the SS should not have ever put her or any of those other women in the potential line of fire. God did not design 98% of most women to emotionally handle gunfights. Nothing can change that either.
LIVE FREE OR DIE, probably took a course in University called LOGIC 101. Absolutely, if you are going to cover a President that is 6 ft. 4 inches, you don’t want people of small stature to be trying to hover over the President. This is just common sense. A man probably fits the job, as in this incident, the women were all pansies.

Wait for the Big War (its coming folks) Then all these social engineering ideas will be discarded after the first big defeats. When our “GI Janes” start coming back in body bags or end up facing abuse in POW Camps a lot of these ideas will be shown as unwise. Advise to women in the military—save the last bullet for yourself rather than face surrender to our enemies—you could end up like the hostages in Israel. DEI, like so many things, looks good on paper but is not realistic.

Hardened criminals don’t mind DEI one bit, but when a rank amateur successfully breaches SS security, and gets a shot off? That’s really an example of poor performance and remains totally UNSAT no matter which way they try to slice it.

I’ve been through an active shooter situation, trapped in a sinking car in a flash flood, survived a tornado while pregnant with a kid in my arms, a premature abruption, having a psycho shove a gun to the back of my head while threatening to blow my brains out, and more.
I kept my s@@t together every time because freaking out meant I would not survive.
I am one tough woman and I am INSULTED that these clowns are trying to play the female card to ward off justified criticism.
So, from one woman to another, just let me say:
You ARE NOT qualified to guard a 6’3” tall asset when you are only 5’6” tall.
You ARE NOT qualified to guard an asset when you can’t even holster your weapon.
You ARE NOT qualified to guard an asset when you didn’t even safeguard the perimeter.
You ARE NOT qualified to lead an agency when you come up with such epically lame @$$ excuses for your complete and total mission failure.
Resign, in disgrace, you compromised idiots. You ARE NOT fit for purpose.

My advice is to not display for the world how inept you are at your job and you won’t be criticized.
Yes, they were there and they were trying, but a participation trophy doesn’t cut it in the job they have.
If you want to see a contrast, look at the Reagan assassination attempt versus Trump’s. A bunch of middle age alpha males whipping out Uzis, jumping in front of bullets, piling on the shooter, forcing Reagan into the car, etc. Trump? A total cluster. Letting him poke his up, not once, but twice. Not covering him properly. Total confusion. Yes, Trump got a very good picture. He could have gotten his head blown off. (This is not a criticism of Trump. He’s going to try to do what he wants. The Secret Service is supposed make him do what he needs to do to not get killed.)
Is there anyway Trump can fire the Secret Service and hire some professionals?
It's getting more obvious by the day that this whole deal was a set-up. The stooge had all the time in the world to take the shot. He end up putting holes in just about everything and everybody in the county.....
If Trump is smart, he would dump the Secret Service.
It definitely was a set-up. When the SS is sloppy on purpose, someone will get thru.
That is sad but true, but if you believe (as I have begun to believe) that we are in the “4th Turning” which roughly equates to the last step in these four, which is a four-stage cycle, then we have a hard time coming up:
Hard times create strong men
Strong men create good times
Good times create weak men
Weak men create hard times
Listening to one of my favorite political minds, Bill Whittle, he believes that the hard times is not going to be a war with Communist China or a Racial War, he believes it is going to be a war between the “Law Abiding” and the “Lawless”. I think he may be right there.

The FBI is supposed to be tough enough to endure great hardship in their pursuit of justice. They are not expected to be caught “clutching their pearls” over some Social Culture rhetoric or dispute. There are many other current events the FBI could be “appalled” by.
