Thomas Matthew Crooks’ parents were looking for him on Saturday in the hours leading up to the Trump rally shooting and eventually called law enforcement to indicate that he was missing and they were worried, Fox News has learned.
It’s unclear what his parents told authorities, but the call happened on Saturday before Crooks later opened fire at Trump during the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The parents are being cooperative with authorities and the FBI is still trying to determine a motive for the attack, sources also told Fox News.

Curious to know how long their son went missing that caused them to contact the police.
Was it more than 24 hours or just that Saturday?

How many parents call the police when their adult child is missing for a few hours? This seems suspicious, not like they were involved, but like they knew something was going down. Maybe they had heard Crook make threatening statements concerning the rally.
I wonder if the father noticed that his rifle was missing. This coupled with his son’s mental issues could have caused him to worry enough to call police.
Earlier... He told his father he was going to the shooting range and his father gave him the gun.
Now that doesn't make sense...they often went to the range together. Why would he have to ask for it?? It's not like there's little kids around.
Sounds like the parents had reason to be suspicious of their son.
There’s only one question: When they were made aware of a threat WHY did they not move President Trump to a place of safety while they checked it out.
THAT is their job. Their ONLY job.

- by my count 7 different agencies providing security
- both Kamala and Dr.-Tard Jill Biden at events in PA same day drawing off resources
- roof not secured
- carrying a freaking ladder?
- too much slope
- sniper team with eyes on him did not take preemptive action
- alerted at metal detectors with problematic behavior
- sniper team saw him with range finder
- civilians spotted him
- parked on a blocked off road, no one cared, in a van
- van had explosives, on a “secured” road- no one cared, no dog
- no drones
- no helicopters
- no remote cameras monitoring dead space
- no briefing from fed agencies immediate aftermath
- was he walking around with a gun and a range finder?
- if he pre-staged, how do you allow access prior to a planned event, this is against all protocols
- did sniper teams 3 and 4 have eyes on him like team 2 did?
- why did the USSS area of operation stop at the fair grounds property line when there’s a line of sight structure 150 yds away from Trump
- what about those requests for addl. resources.
- how did that fiberglass ladder magically appear?
- why isn’t FBI allowing or showing visability from all 4 sniper positions?
- didn’t plan for a secondary vehicle access point
- 7 agencies, comms not properly setup
- no alert system, comms AND other (audible & visual signals) not setup
The lady SS director seems incompetent, but I doubt she made any of the tactical decisions during preparation or during the event. I would like to know who was in charge on the ground that day. They should be fired for incompetence, or charged with treason. SS is claiming they didn’t have primary responsibility for securing a rooftop 150 yards away with clear line of sight to President Trump? That’s ridiculous, and just saying it shows you’re not qualified for your job.

I had college classes, a girlfriend and a gang of friends to go good off with every day.
My Mom never once called the cops because she hadn’t seen me in a few hours.
I suspect this is MOST Americans as well.
That cover story isn't making sense, since he was scheduled to go to work that day. Reports say he had called work and took the day off, so his workplace probably didn't call his home to see where he was, and the parents probably didn't know that.
More likely, his parents discovered their long gun missing, called their son and heard an hysterical screed, and tried to avert disaster by calling police and telling them he was mental without revealing much else. They are both some kind of "behavioral therapists", according to a DailyMail report.
With Madoff, at least the financial reports look good for a while...
I realize it's just a tv show, but on several of the NCIS shows, you frequently see turf disputes between the LEO investigators and the FBI coming in to just take over. Surely if there is a reason to have the Feds in a location, wouldn't they be in the lead?
They knew he was a nut and he took off with a gun.
They knew something was up.
They also can be charged and certainly sued for
their actions.
Crooks was in a BLACKROCK commercial....HOW??? Was he STILL in CONTACT with BLACKROCK???
The weapon was purchased by the father, precedent has already been set to prosecute/imprison the parents if a child gets hold of THEIR weapon.
