He should have first, radioed it in to the SS and got his weapon out and ready before climbing the ladder. Instead of actually saving everyone’s lives, he pulled a Uvalde. Truth be told, the interruption may have killed Corey and may have sent the bullet closer to Trump. No, he needs to be disciplined and fired for not doing his sworn duty and eliminating the thread.
I’m guessing that Mr. Comperatore’s family don’t think that cop is much of a hero.
[The attached story confirms the ladder was there at the time & Federal agents noted it.
“Chillingly some images show a ladder, hidden by dense shrubbery, propped against the side of the AGR building, leading directly to the rooftop across which witnesses later told law enforcement they saw Crooks scramble.
The images of the strategically placed ladder have emerged as Secret Service admit they did not sweep the building where the shooter took his position, but instead entrusted that role to local law enforcement officers. Federal agents could be seen inspecting the ladder which, from the ground, would be all but invisible.”
The building doesn’t exactly cover a square mile. It defies logic that cops wouldn’t take the 10 or so seconds needed to loop around the building looking for an easy way up, so they could get to the roof armed and ready, instead of panting and out of breath, helpless as a newborn babe, barely holding on to the edge with both hands.
👍👍👍
Were the local cops armed? Crowd control guys, not sniper teams.
Was it the armed sniper team in the building who tried to take a look at the roof, or were their orders not to leave their post?
Was it the foot patrol? Does the USSS permit the ordinary assisting police officer to carry a firearm? I don’t know if they should - my instinct would be no. Duties would be unarmed crowd control, risk assessment, communication.
I could be wrong.
Yes.. I heard the interview early on, giving the whole story on this cop who interfaced with the shooter.
Then the coverage portrayed that officer as only running away.
Bad rap by drive-by media, who didn’t yet know there even *Was* a ladder. ☹️
“Are you telling me that no one that was IN that building walked the perimeter?”
That’s kinda what I’m thinking too.
I admit that I’m no planner of security for events like these - but i couldn’t help but wonder why the parking lot behind the GRS building was not manned by a couple of LEO’s to shoo people away? To me, it looks like the shooter walked unimpeded right up to the building.
He did.
Funny how the media isn’t saying much about ROE, waiting for authorization before CST can pull the Trigger.
Are you joking? Or do facts not matter to you?
They probably got issued one bullet like Barney Fife.
If it happened the way its been described, that event may have forced the little moron to hastily take his first cold-bore shot.
FWIW, anyone that’s been involved with precision rifle shooting knows that a cold bore shot can drift off quite a bit....as much as a couple of inches at a 100 yards based on conditions. Unless one (professional sniper types, bench rest shooters, etc.) is intimately familiar with one’s rifle & the performance characteristics of the specific ammo being used, it can really be tough to compensate for when speaking from a precision performance perspective.
Regardless of how it went down, it’s only by the grace of God that Trump survived it. And for that, I’m very thankful. Thank you, Lord!
Consider all the cops who affiliate with BLM, LGBTQ. The Muslim cops. Feminist pro-abortion literally Hitler cops. The cops corrupted by the Narcoterrorist-human smuggling gangs. Unstable cops. Cops with heartfelt grudges. Christopher Dorner cops.
A lot of motives out there. More in some places than others.
That’s the best endorsement he’s got?
Yep!... that's it. Washington blows a little smoke up your A$$ and you're supposed to be happy and content!
I wonder if we’ll ever really know what happened... I mean, before the Oliver Stone movie comes out.
Planned incompetence for deniability.
In addition, the gunman knew where to go and had confidence that he wouldn’t be stopped.
Inside job.
Correct. Ask Corey Comperatore’s family if he should be called a hero.
