New video shows the chaotic aftermath of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump and reveals what led to the former president visibly asking for his shoes back. Initially dazed, Trump told agents: 'let me get my shoes, let me get my shoes' as he got up from the ground.
The video covers an angle previously unseen amid the chaos from behind Trump as he spoke. It shows the Secret Service tackling Trump and removing his shoes and tossing them off the stage. Trump himself has also seen the bizarre side of the incident, confirming what was visible on the video clip in the first interview he gave after the shooting.

One of the female SS agents threw his shoes off the stage.
Trump was delaying the rush to the car because he wanted his shoes.
She may have thought that if she got rid of the shoes then the president would stop fighting their group exit. And she couldn’t keep them because her hands needed to be free.
That is my only explanation for the shoe issue. I hope it made sense but I see things differently than most people and I tend to miss the obvious.
It’s not like anyone in that huddle can see where their feet are going, is it?
If they had been watching and following him for thirty minutes , why not surround and arrest him? Gee, they took Mar-a-Lago down in minutes……

After first wrestling them to the ground! /s
I’m sure she thought they were shoe bombs./s
The woman behind Trump with the black hat and sun glasses is a person of interest. Never flinched during the shooting , while everyone around her is ducking and panicking. She calmly picks up her I phone and records the events . Very odd as if she expected the gun shots.
Once shots were confirmed the protocol is that the protectee will have feet that never touch the ground. On 9.11 when Cheney was taken to the bunker his feet never hit the ground. Shows can become dangerous or a trip hazard if the protected is reacting in fear or convulsing.
The other thing is whatever the angle, trumps head never reappeared until the words shooter down. It all looks pretty standard evacuation to me based on the knowledge of my acquaintances in protective details.
Your first photo above is someones sarcastic meme. That was not the ‘perimeter’. But nice Pacman.
The second photo is actually very informative. The tree blocking the SS sniper line of sight helps explain at least in part why it took so long for snipers to react. Based on the photos of the ladder, you can match where he could have walked the ladder the the little alley and been covered from sniper nests by trees again while doing so, at least in part.
Was this an overlooked vulnerability? Seems like it. Incompetence or intentional, I’m still going with incompetence at the tactical level. At the higher up levels (not the team on the ground) it shows negligence at best in providing supervision, planning, and needed resources for support.
BTW, everyone who has been asking how the shooter could walk in with a rifle. I cant understand why someone hasnt pointed at already that an AR can be taken down to the lower and the upper and put in a small carrying bag that would be no bigger than a mid-size nap sack. once in that alley where the ladder was, he could reassemble it out of view. I dont think anyone could have seen the rifle until it was spotted on the roof by the civilians on that side of the building.
Perhaps to prevent tripping...
I hadn’t thought of that. It is an iconic picture and captures the essence of Trump.
You wonder..Trump had already hit the deck on his own.
“why the shoes were thrown...”
It was Homeland Security protocol -
On Aug. 10, 2006, almost five years after the failed bombing, the Department of Homeland Security established the new protocol requiring that all passengers take off their shoes and have them screened for explosives.
;)
Secret Service should only employ dwarf women to exclusively “protect” Democrats.
Let them walk the DEI walk instead of just talk the DEI talk.
The boys were raised to be considerate. Sometimes those social lies are inappropriate. You can like someone, think they are nice and helpfuk but if his dad was shot in the head because she didn’t block anything above midchest nice just doesn’t cut it.
Actually tucking them under the podium would actually get the shoes out of the way rather then tossing them to be a trip hazard in the grass.
“I’m guessing (the most benign explanation) that they were a trip hazard for the scrum heading to the stairs...”
Could be. The first priority then would have been to get Trump off that platform.
True
I thought Trump said he lost his shoes as they were pulling him away from the lectern?
“Leftists don’t realize that DEI demeans and permanently handicaps the people it putatively empowers. DEI recipients will never succeed because they don’t have the talent, skills, attributes to do the job they are shoehorned into.”
DEI is just a new euphamisn for “affirmative action”. A way to get around legislation that forbade racial and gender preferences. It’s another attempt at establishing a quota hiring system in the name of “social justice”, and at the expense of merit and quality.
I’m sure the Chinese are cheering it on.
We should be grateful they didn't have to walk over bodies.
