There is no law that says LEOs must put themselves in danger. Police have no duty to protect the public SCoTUS
If he’s boosted up by another officer and hanging on the roof edge with both hands - just how is he supposed to pull his weapon and get off a shot?
Cutlass in his teeth? Movie hero vault?
Did he even have a firearm? Does SS let the local cops carry firearms?
Police retreating or hiding like little bitches is becoming a recurring theme.
And to write tickets so that the ruling class can remind the peasants who is in charge.
Self preservation is not necessarily cowardice. IIUC, he was unarmed.
Some people said the shooter crossed from one roof to another. The ladder may not have been visible to the police.
bttt
If it was a dog, he would have shot it.
I haven’t seen a photo yet. Thanks for the mention.
I was picturing a larger load than the 22LR, but used that
name in error. Is the larger load known as a Magnum?
Yes, I should have referenced a different bullet.
If the Magnum is the proper name for the largest in the
series, that would be it.
My mistake.
Thanks for your comments. No, I don’t believe we do know
exactly what the gun was yet.
E. Pluribus Unum had some good stuff to say here.

I suppose this cop could always apply for a position as a school resource officer at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Other people had said .22 LR besides you. I wasn’t specifically “targeting” you, pun intended.
There is also a .22 WMR rimfire that is more powerful, but I have never heard of an AR15 made for them. They are pretty much the same price as centerfire .223/.556, with far inferior ballistics. As I said, .223/5.56 is the most common caliber for AR15s.
Then the sheriff is a coward too. Fire shots in the air, over the roof edge, something to foil the attack. Uvalde, Texas is hiring.
Widely reported. AR-style in 5.56, by FBI Kevin Rojek.
I haven’t seen the weapon, as you seem to have. That was
partly why I stated what I did.
It seemed to me they weren’t forthcoming.
I’ve kept my nose to the ground, so I wasn’t certain whey
we hadn’t seen it yet. Evidently you ran across something I
didn’t.
I had not seen the caliber mentioned prior to this either.
I guess the sheriff came from the Uvalde school of policing or something.
They are big and tough shaking down speeders in the name of ‘revenue enhancement’, but otherwise, not so much.
These small town cops are often little better than one those fat security guards you’d find at a shopping mall. The cop did not need to be Chuck Norris, but he could have called in the threat in a timely manner.
Now that we know “he’s” a “he,” why did “he” not get on “his” coms and warn everyone. But it’s moot, if Crooks immediately opened fire, which I don’t believe. Crooks had to take the time to locate his target and line up his sights on him. Fortunately, between squeezing the trigger and the flight of the bullet, DJT happened to turn his head to the side, and thereby his life was saved by a Higher Power. But don’t tell me he was able to do all that in the twinkling of an eye after threatening the LEO and making him retreat. What a numb nuts. He froze and failed to communicate.
“Very different circumstances. Kyle was the one cornered.”
Kyle was a 17 year old hero.
This cop is a professional law enforcement officer who couldn’t hold Kyle’s jock
