Please stop and spare a thought for those on the political left. Bill Maher has affirmed he was appalled by the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump but qualified it by adding others have been metaphorically hurt as well.
He opened his Saturday comedy show by stating, “I unequivocally denounce [the shooting], I don’t care what you think about that. Not funny. I’m sure that there will be jokes that people will make because they hate him so much that they wished it went he other way. Not for me.”
Maher then continued that Trump may be the political winner at the ballot box but also was quick to point out the cost to his hard-left opponents who had the assumed “high moral ground” pulled out from under their saintly feet. Maher lamented:
Whoever did this, the shooter has done so much damage to the Left.
[The Left] has lost a lot moral high ground in the ‘you’re the violent people’ and the ‘liberals don’t shoot people, liberals don’t solve it that way.’

So he only cares about what it does to the Democrats election chances.
He doesn’t give a rip about Trump or his supporters. He wants them dead, but only after they have complete power. And this assassination attempt put a bump in that road.
Democrat president JFK was killed by communist Lee Harvey Oswald (that’s the official story). In other words: somebody Leftier than JFK.
Republican president Gerald Ford faced 2 assassination attempts by hippie chicks.
Republican president Ronald Reagan was shot.
Republican president Donald Trump was shot.
LBJ?
Carter?
Clinton?
Obama?
Biden?
The people on the Left are the ones who carry out assassinations. Our side doesn’t do that.
But the Left chooses Truth over Facts. Or something like that.
The left does political damage to the left.

Yes, indeed. You never know which Bill Maher will show up, the classical liberal or the slimy leftist hack. His take on the assassination attempt seems to be an odd mix of the two.
I think the conservative media is looking at Maher’s statement the wrong way. Maher is right - the Left has lost all of their alleged moral high ground. A week ago, the Left’s theme was that the violence was 100% on the Right and the Right was a terrorist threat. This week, that is 100% changed.
No mention of Antifa, at all. No mention of Rittenhouse.

The United States is not a democracy, if just the number of votes was the only criteria New York and California would be the only states that decide who would be President.
We are a republic where every state has a chance to decide who becomes President. Without the electoral college the colonies would not have joined into what was to become the United Stages.

Groupthinkers paint “intellectual” on their foreheads, but lack reason.
They are looking for a purpose because life seems to be passing them by and it makes them anxious, which in turn makes them vulnerable to manipulation.

Pretty straightforward - the left has always ‘assumed’ the moral high ground, even if it was a lie. No surprise there.
When one of their roving rent-a-mob minions starts to think on their own, and does something stupid - NOW they have problems.
2024 is going to be a great year for political clarity for American citizens.
But the shooter has been depicted as a registered Republican. One thinks that Maher would have picked up on that by now.
As if the left needed any help with that.
The lefties I work with here HONESTLY believe what they are fed my tv:
- that the shooter was a lunatic loner; a REPUBLICAN, who was just extremely upset that Trump backed off the NAZI line( project2025 and all that..) in order to look more moderate.. He was just SO ticked off that he grabbed his GUN and tried to kill the backstabbing Trump.
THIS is what they truly believe. Fed to them by CNN and MSNBC..

Liberals had riots all over the country. Pick any city in America. Do you really think it is going to be some MAGA supporter that will kill you if you are out walking around the city streets?
How about school shootings or almost any mass shooting? Will that likely be a MAGA supporter that commits that crime?
The problem with liberals is that they act like they have a moral high ground when in fact they are far from it. Even Joe Biden said he would like to beat up Donald Trump behind the school gym.
Liberals have no moral high ground. Never have and never will.
Actually, JFKs "leftier" policies would place him as a moderate Republican on the leaning spectrum.
