Secret Service blames local police, says it was tasked with securing properties surrounding Trump’s Pa. rally

The Secret Service blamed local police for failing to secure the rooftop from which gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump, insisting it was outside of the perimeter the federal agency was tasked with protecting.

Instead, securing and patrolling the factory grounds of AGR International Inc. — located about 130 yards from the stage where Trump was speaking Saturday — was the responsibility of local Pennsylvania police, Secret Service representative Anthony Gugliemi said, according the New York Times.

The Secret Service was only tasked with covering the grounds where Trump’s rally took place, with local police being recruited to assist with those efforts and secure the area outside of the rally.

And what about the reports of a cop who actually got up on the roof and saw the shooter and then turned and went back away? What the hell was wrong with that guy. Why didn’t he pull a gun on the shooter right then?

These agencies don’t have compatible communications devices? One of the lessons learned from 9-11.

I can understand why a cop, climbing a ladder and facing a rifle, would climb down immediately.

However, when on the ground cop should have fired a few rounds into the ground to distract the person with the rifle as well as alert the SS guarding the Pres WITH SHOTS FIRED.

I think it’s the problem of resources, the SS did not assign enough agents to protect Trump, so they had to rely on local police to do some of the work.

It’s quite common for federal fascists to farm their assigned tasks out to local government. Federal fascists went bat chit crazy decades ago when the USSC said that federal goons could not draft local and state government to carry out federal diktats because the county and state are sovereigns.

Someone must be in overall charge, or no one is in charge. If the SS did not have resources to secure the rooftops, then they could have called off the rally. SS should have made sure the rooftop was secured by local cops. They should have visually checked to see the rooftop was secured.

Head of Secret Service should resign. If she doesn’t she should be fired.

You are falling for the coverup.

The SS knew that a man was on the roof of the building with a gun in enough time to radio to the folks on stage to get President Trump down and then out of there.

Their failure to forward that information to SS agents on stage was not due to lack of resources.

It was not a mistake.

It was intentional—willful—part of a conspiracy to assassinate President Trump.

This simple fact will be hidden by what Winston Churchill called “a bodyguard of lies”. These lies will be spread by what Donald Rumsfeld called “full spectrum dominance” which means that both leftwing mass media and “respectable” right wing media will be helping to spread the lies.

Don’t fall for their lies. Don’t protect the guilty.

I saw a video that featured a guy who watched as the cop went up ladder. He said when the cop got to the top of the ladder and looked over. The killer turned and pointed the rifle at him. At that point the cop took his hands off the ladder and fell to the ground. He did not climb down the ladder.

a former Pepsi Security person (the Cheetos Division)

A 27 year veteran of the Secret Service.

If she's really this incompetent (as opposed to being malicious), why did the SS keep her around for 27 years?

Waiting for the police department to blame the fire department for failing to bring a ladder to the building so they could access the roof.

On a serious note, the entire event was one big disaster, so bad it looks like a setup to eliminate Trump.

“ I hope you got your peanuts back when you exited the building, :) “

Joe goes back and asks for his peanuts. “ hey my peanuts were covered in chocolate when you took them earlier”. 😬
