A former classmate of the 20-year-old Pennsylvania man law enforcement identified as the shooter who opened fire at former President Donald Trump’s rally says he was "bullied almost every day" at school. NBC News' Shaq Brewster reports on what is known about the background and life of Thomas Matthew Crooks.

I figured Crooks was bullied just by looking at his photos.
So why didn’t any of these people step up and and help him?
It has been what, twenty years or more when we were told that bullying at school was a serious issue? Zero tolerance we we assured. Public schools. Ya gotta love ‘em…
Yup
I was bullied almost every day in school. I don’t feel like shooting anybody.
There is no excuse for attempting to assassinate a presidential candidate. Many of us were bullied.
Nobody gives a shit! This POS left high school in 2022. That’s two years ago. Try running that bully bull$hit on someone else. If the f-er was so miserable in his life, he should have done himself in. In reality though, this is the type of person the alphabet agencies look for, to work for them. I wonder if he was recruited when BlackRock came to his high school, and filmed him in that video Laura Loomer discovered.
Maybe the kid liked to make scary threats and was voted the student most likely to stage a Columbine. My image of bullying is the traditional one of an overgrown held back student taking lunch money from undersized nerds and roughing them up for fun. These days, simply getting hazed verbally is counted as bullying. What delicate flowers we’re raising these days - and those are just the guys.
I wonder if the shooter was selected then nudged.
Exactly the kind of guy always picked for such missions. So old fashioned.
This guy grew up, hearing over and over Trump is evil and meanwhile, he was an outcast, its not surprising he went to such a dark place in my opinion.
The Perp as Victim.
Me too. But back then kids weren’t medicated for ADD and depression.
Nor do I.
Exactly.
These apologists are on the same speed dial as the crazies they call up to shoot up schools and former Presidents
And where were the parents? I assume he lived at home but don’t know for sure. He used his father’s rifle. Both parents Dems evidently. Was it a ploy for infamy? Guess that is the likely explanation. Not yet buying the conspiracy. I think it is more incompetence by the SS and local law enforcement. Fact is the shooter is dead and we will probably never really know. Sounds like he had few if any friends as no one has come forward.
Yeah. He's also kind of got that Fetal Alcohol Syndrome look about him.
To become an investment manager?
my question: Why did the affluent sophisticated parents allow him to stay in the school where he was bullied?
when this happened to my son (I heard about it from another parent, the school ignored what was going on because the bullies had freedom of speech), I changed his school. There are alternatives for such kids.
