Firearms expert Larry Johnson confirmed to The Gateway Pundit:
** The shooter was likely outside the venue ** The shooter was on the right side of Trump ** This was not a pistol used by the shooter ** Likely a 22 Long Rifle – likely semiautomatic ** The 22 Long Rifle is effective up to 200 yards ** It appears no one else was shot on the stage ** The audience was looking to their right after the shots were fired. ** Bullet was in a deceleration range

There seems to be conflicting info. about the woman bystander hit. Within a few minutes on NBC, her wounds were described as to the hand and forearm, but right after that she was said to be in critical condition. The way she was carried off, I’d think more the former, but, it’s always possible it’s a Reagan-like scenario...
I was wondering what ‘deceleration range’ was? I can imagine there is a little acceleration for a few centimeters outside of the barrel but then it is all friction afterwards.

The 22 is way more deadly than gun bigots want to believe, that said I would rather be hit by a 22 at 200 yards than a 308, but the 22 can kill you with a well placed shot. Do some research the 22 rifle was used by the Germans as a Sniper rifle, I had one of those as a kid and they were dead accurate.

Breakdown 22 is pretty common.
Like the truth being the first casualty in war, these stories will be confusing and difficult to sort out.
President Reagan first thought he had broken a rib from being pushed into the car. Then, it must be a minor gunshot wound according to the news. Then misdiagnosed at the hospital followed by the severe loss of blood proving for the first time a bullet almost hit him fatally inside, just missing by an inch.
The shooter is dead. The reports of Mark Violets are that he was arrested.
