Biden didn't save his campaign
Washington Examiner ^ | 7/11/2024 | Quin Hillyer

Posted on 07/11/2024 10:56:32 PM PDT by NetAddicted

If President Joe Biden‘s goal in tonight’s press conference were to avoid being outed from office through the 25th Amendment, he would have succeeded. But in trying to save his campaign, he utterly failed.

Biden clearly showed he is not completely non compos mentis. In general, he is aware of what is going on, and when he isn’t in a bad spell, he can essentially keep track of policy. What he did not come close to doing, though, is to convince anybody with half a brain that he will be up for the job for four more years.

Biden looked and sounded old. Biden rambled a lot, even if not entirely insensibly. He committed yet another howler of a mistake by referring to Vice President Kamala Harris as “Trump” on the same day that he referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “Putin.” He repeatedly did that weird and unsettling thing where he suddenly lowers his voice sometimes almost to a whisper, for effect, but rather randomly, without any real reason to do so. He almost never speaks distinctly, showing that even on a comparatively “good” night for him, he still garbles words, runs words together, and repeats phrases in odd ways.

Biden barely reassured watchers that he has the vigor expected of the leader of the free world for the next six months. There is no imaginable way that he can still be doing so in 2027 or 2028 — or, frankly, even by this time next year.

It is utterly irresponsible to ask the country to elect him to serve until January 2029. Again, this is not about whether he can kinda-sorta-semi-manage the presidency now. This is about grappling with China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, terrorist Islamists, and others when he is 85 instead of 81.

A doddering old man cannot project even reasonable strength, much less power. But a president who cannot project power leaves 330 million people at risk, not to mention perhaps billions more around a world that could become far more unstable if the president is weak and ineffective.

Biden is acting like a selfish man refusing to accept reality or put country above self. He ought to withdraw with dignity before he is shoved aside like frayed, torn old furniture.

Worse. One particular asshole seems to be illegally in control the Presidency.

After having listened to the presser I agree with Techno Fog that it was bad but not as bad as the Democrats needed to oust him outright. And that creates a problem for them. After all that has been said and aired on television they cannot put the cat back into the bag. Impossible for them to run with Biden, the same person who so many leading Democrats have called incapable. So they need to go on...

Techno Fog
@Techno_Fog
It was bad - but not as bad as some Democrats hoped.

And it just might require the Democrats’ attacks and leaks to the press concerning President Biden's mental capacity to greatly increase.

There is no going back.

Biden? Selfish? But McConnell and Graham says he’s a thoroughly decent individuals, so it can’t be true.

The dem powerholders are just letting him hold on long enough for it to be too late for Trump to mount a successful campaign against a replacement. Watch.

http://www.mediaite.com/news/bidens-aggressive-whispering-at-media-during-press-conference-raises-eyebrows/

This is about that weird whispering affectation. I thought I was reading about tonight’s press conference and then saw the 2021 date. I hadn’t really noticed this trait, probably because I avoid Biden speeches most of the time.

I really cannot imagine the Democrats replacing Biden with anyone but Harris. First the optics and second the finances. From what I’ve been reading and hearing, if Biden drops out, the Biden/Harris funds go or can go to Harris. They cannot be given to another candidate, nor can Biden keep them for himself. The can go into a PAC but that could only give $3,000 to a candidate. A superpac has more options. Maybe a pac staffed by his family is a way to launder the money.

I hope Bitch McConnell and Linda Graham are passengers in Biden's Corvette when Biden falls asleep and veers head-on into oncoming traffic.

That should be the litmus test: "Would you ride as a passenger with Biden driving the car?"

The only thing he has left to sell are pardons and his exit.

Funding for his library, book deal, donations to his foundation.

Amphetamines, that is what they are pumping into him to give him enough vigor to perform. Here’s to hoping the ole ticker gives out sooner than later.

The Commie ‘RATS control the ballots and the counting. Because Biden is a corpse, they’ll make it look close.

Donna Brazile, one of the DNC’s delegates, said on ABC’s This Week that virtual voting by the delegates begins this month (July 2024). So Joe Biden just needs to hold on and he will be the Democrat’s nominee for president in 2024.

I’m old and not tech savvy, but some younger Trump supporters should start a go-fund-me (?) page to save Good Ole Joe’s campaign.
Every day between now and November that the media is talking about Biden’s troubles is a good day for DJT.
Trump 2024 like your life depends on it, because it really does.

Given the clear incapacity of so many elected officials (Biden, McConnell, Pelosi, Feinstein, etc) it is clear that the people and the media are failing to do their job vetting candidates.

We brought this on ourselves.

The votes by illegals will be massive yet covered up.
