The pro-life opposition to the new RNC platform is painfully naive

The Republican Party just revealed its new platform. The document is calculated to appeal to the needs of ordinary voters sick of cultural and economic Marxism. However, purported Evangelical Christians are suddenly frantically hostile to the RNC and to Trump. There’s something deeply weird about this position, given that it hands a win to “no limits on abortion” Democrats.
You can read the 16-page, small-font 2024 Republican platform here. However, if you don’t want to, Wayne Allyn Root summarizes the core principles in the platform under the heading “Trump chose the issues a huge majority of American voters agree on”:
- Seal the border and stop the foreign invasion (Trump already did it once before).
- Deport tens of millions of these foreign invaders, rapists, murderers, terrorists and welfare addicts out of America.
- Create prosperity for middle class families by ending inflation (Trump already did it once before).
- Slow massive out-of-control spending and debt.
- ...
- Deport pro-Hamas protestors on college campuses who preach violence, hate Jews, and chant “death to America.”
- Secure our elections with Voter ID (just like Mexico has) and proof of citizenship.
- Strengthen our military, protect Social Security and Medicare at all costs, and rebuild our cities that have been destroyed by Democrat policies.
- Unite our country.
Root is right: These are issues that appeal to most Americans, including their dislike for the Hamasniks and the alphabet-soup people taking over American education. It’s a pro-American platform that cuts across racial, geographic, and economic divides. It’s a broad-based MAGA winner, and anyone who wants to see the Democrat party harried (politically) from pillar to post should be happy with it.
And yet...

eagle said it best in post 17. Without Evangelicals we still have Roe.
And Evans thank God for Trump who out 3 justices on the Court which overturned Roe. That was a solid move to the right.
The dilemma now stand at Repubs moving center left as they compromise on the sanctity of life issue by leaving this issue up to the states.
Which is the politically correct thing to do. If the RNC pushed for a Life Begins at Conception Amendment, we would surely lose.
We will soon learn who Trump picks as VP. Whoever it is will anger many here at FR. Many who've said they will stay home if Trump picks that person.
Yet they won't. They will vote for trump just as we voted for McCain and Mittens.
Just as hardore pro-aborts will vote for Trump and the RNC. Despite the compromising.
Meanwhile the Repubs here who rejoice at the "States Rights" compromise should not be surprised when this means more compromises to appease the leftists.

I am not your personal Google. But since this answer tooks me 10 seconds to find - I’ll post it for you.
The federal murder statute is 18 U.S.C. § 1111, which defines murder as the unlawful killing of a person with malice aforethought. Murder can be charged as first or second degree.
But from now on - don’t ask dumb questions or make dumb comments that can easily be answered or refuted by any search engine of your choice.

Can you show me in the enumerated powers of U.S. Constitution where the U.S. government is given that power?
Don’t answer if it is beneath you, but I will ask any question I want.

The platform is a bit sophomoric and was not publicly discussed and is in desperate need of an editor. Rushed out. WHY?
Regarding abortion, a lot more could be said or better said: We believe in life, we recognize that this is again a state-level issue and our candidates at the state-level can address this directly. At the national level we oppose any use of federal funds or facilities for abortions. We do oppose any federal legislation that would legalize or mandate abortion nationally or, worst case after viability.
Or something like that. We need to be realistic and also need to speak up. Just walking away from the topic doesn't solve it or absolve us from it. There is a fine line here, a realistic answer that doesn't leave a vacuum for Democrats to fill.

Your purported list of platform planks are not the official ones, thus are very misleading.
You write, for example "Deport tens of millions of these foreign invaders, rapists, murderers, terrorists and welfare addicts out of America."
Here is the list:
- Seal the border, and stop the migrant invasion
- Carry out the largest deportation operation in American history
- End inflation, and make America affordable again
- Make America the dominant energy producer in the world, by far!
- Stop outsourcing, and turn the United States into a manufacturing superpower
- Large tax cuts for workers, and no tax on tips!
- Defend our constitution, our bill of rights, and our fundamental freedoms, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the right to keep and bear arms
- Prevent world war three, restore peace in Europe and in the Middle East, and build a great iron dome missile defense shield over our entire country -- all made in America
- End the weaponization of government against the American people
- Stop the migrant crime epidemic, demolish the foreign drug cartels, crush gang violence, and lock up violent offenders
- Rebuild our cities, including Washington DC, making them safe, clean, and beautiful again
- Strengthen and modernize our military, making it, without question, the strongest and most powerful in the world
- Keep the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency
- Fight for and protect social security and medicare with no cuts, including no changes to the retirement age
- Cancel the electric vehicle mandate and cut costly and burdensome regulations
- Cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, radical gender ideology, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children
- Keep men out of women’s sports
- Deport pro-Hamas radicals and make our college campuses safe and patriotic again
- Secure our elections, including same day voting, voter identification, paper ballots, and proof of citizenship
- Unite our country by bringing it to new and record levels of success
Further, later in the document, the details are muddled. Besides, what is the largest, just a million or two. I prefer your 10s of millions as I figure from analysis that there are 30-60 million illegals in the US and just getting rid oa a couple million is nothing.
Chapter 2:
Chapter Two: Seal the Border, and Stop the Migrant Invasion
Our Commitment:
Republicans offer an aggressive plan to stop the open-border policies that have opened the floodgates to a tidal wave of illegal Aliens, deadly drugs, and Migrant Crime. We will end the Invasion at the Southern Border, restore Law and Order, protect American Sovereignty, and deliver a Safe and Prosperous Future for all Americans.
- Secure the Border
Republicans will restore every Border Policy of the Trump administration and halt all releases of Illegal Aliens into the interior. We will complete the Border Wall, shift massive portions of Federal Law Enforcement to Immigration Enforcement, and use advanced technology to monitor and secure the Border. We will use all resources needed to stop the Invasion—including moving thousands of Troops currently stationed overseas to our own Southern Border. We will deploy the U.S. Navy to impose a full Fentanyl Blockade on the waters of our Region—boarding and inspecting ships to look for fentanyl and fentanyl precursors. Before we defend the Borders of Foreign Countries, we must first secure the Border of our Country. - Enforce Immigration Laws
Republicans will strengthen ICE, increase penalties for illegal entry and overstaying Visas, and reinstate “Remain in Mexico” and other Policies that helped reduce Illegal Immigration by historic lows in President Trump’s first term. We will also invoke the Alien Enemies Act to remove all known or suspected gang members, drug dealers, or cartel members from the United States, ending the scourge of Illegal Alien gang violence once and for all. We will bring back the Travel Ban, and use Title 42 to end the child trafficking crisis by returning all trafficked children to their families in their Home Countries immediately. - Begin Largest Deportation Program in American History
President Trump and Republicans will reverse the Democrats’ destructive Open Borders Policies that have allowed criminal gangs and Illegal Aliens from around the World to roam the United States without consequences. The Republican Party is committed to sending Illegal Aliens back home and removing those who have violated our Laws. - Strict Vetting
Republicans will use existing Federal Law to keep foreign Christian-hating Communists, Marxists, and Socialists out of America. Those who join our Country must love our Country. We will use extreme vetting to ensure that jihadists and jihadist sympathizers are not admitted. - Stop Sanctuary Cities
Republicans will cut federal Funding to sanctuary jurisdictions that release dangerous Illegal Alien criminals onto our streets, rather than handing them over to ICE. We will require local cooperation with Federal Immigration Enforcement. - Ensure Our Legal Immigration System Puts American Workers First
Republicans will prioritize Merit-based immigration, ensuring those admitted to our Country contribute positively to our Society and Economy, and never become a drain on Public Resources. We will end Chain Migration, and put American Workers first!
It is all devoid of numbers. Again, I'd prefer your tens of millions but realize that is not what Trump and the party are saying.

Lastly, notice in chapter 2 they say "Begin Largest Deportation Program in American History". Again, not really promising to accomplish anything.
I am still miffed that Trump was unable to finish the promised wall, just 548 miles of new and rebuilt wall and now says another 200 miles will finish it! That won't finish it but he'll be able to say he did. What about the other 1,300 miles? I'd love to hear Trump endorse Abbotts water barrier and put it on the river.
How about Trump promising at last that the federal government will not cut locks or fences to let anyone in?

You asked
when and where did "Republicans start to agree with the degenerate Democrats on legitimizing the ghastly practice of abortion?"Be specific please.
I answered and you're saying now the relevance of Nixon passing on Rockefeller's March 1972 recommendation's regarding population control in favor of the voters who put him back in office eight months later is not relevant today?
Just because you're not listening to the conversation doesn't mean you're controlling it.
Since you brought it up just what did Trump have to do with overturning RoevWade?
And you want to know which plank abandons me? The one all the USMCA termites are hiding in
As for your list, I'm asking, what do you remember best? Lock her up! Lock her up! during the campaign or her being locked up after the campaign?
