My wife and I were talking about a vacation this morning and I told her it needed to be somewhere within driving distance for just this reason.
She asked why.
I told her that Boeing was having a lot of problems with their aircraft.
With the way things are going it is only a matter of time before one of these things ends tragically
And not just their aircraft. Did you hear about the Boeing spacecraft that developed helium leaks? And now two astronauts are stuck at the International Space Station, because they don’t know if it is safe to come back in that spacecraft.
*I told her that Boeing was having a lot of problems with their aircraft.*
I’d look for Airbus flights.
*They had to get Boeing in the headline because there aren’t enough shark attacks in Florida yet.*You found a fine time to leave me, loose wheel...*
You guys are funny.
Last week and after it was fully loaded, a Southwest Boeing plane heading for Orlando realized that it had a problem with its door. All passengers had to get off and find another flight. I wonder if something is wrong with Boeing’s maintenance procedures.
Boeing is having some issues, but you're still far less likely to die in a plane than a car. There are, of course, other good reasons to prefer car travel over plane travel.
I serious doubt if that is the factory wheel install on a plane that is 20 or more years old.
Keep in mind that if the plane was more than a year or so old, the fault lies with the airline maintenance, not the manufacturer.
