I really don't know much about French elections. So the lefties got together and made a coalition and that is why this happened? Far left and Macrons party came together?

The other parties won more sets by getting more votes than RN in the individual seats

I think it just proves that the Left WILL join forces with the (supposedly) hated Communists to defeat the Right...

Same thing happened in Canada, Trudeau and NDP leader formed a coalition government. THe lefty socilaist will do anything they can to rule by ideology rather than with constitutionally establsihed principles.

Its a propblem all over Western nations. As a result the West no longer can be called , “The Free World.” Biden, MAcron, TRudeau and all the rest do not want democracy, they want absolute unending power because the believe in the superiority of their NWO progressive values.

In fact we no longer have representative government, nor do we have a truly informed electorate, the press lies and supports the leftist agenda.

A royal battle will happen in Europe, and the population there has to rise up and reject these radicals as happened in The Netherlands.

Biden is holding a NATO summit today for all of these lefties, NWO bastids. Nothing good will come of it.

Macron = the neoCON globohomo ‘centrist’ types who would rather see communists take power than the right wing conservatives.

Sound familiar?

France has a stupid proportional representation system. Le Pen didn’t get but about 35%. The other parties split about 65% . . . BUT . . . the Macaroni delegates resigned and allowed the Socialists to fill the seats, thus 65% beats 35%.

Yes. They generally have two rounds of votes unless one gets over 50%. Since they knew Le Pen’s party would get to the mid 30’s the left and center parties agreed to form a coalition before the election; with many agreeing to drop out in order not to split votes in the 2nd round.

But because they are a coalition, no other party got more votes than Le Pen. They basically have agreed to form a coalition before they even got to the vote. We’ll see if they can hold it together or if these parties are too strange bedfellows to govern.

So, a few days ago it looked like conservatives were on their way to a big victory.

Then, almost overnight, we’re reading that the communists/socialists have won.

Why does this all sound so familiar?/s

Macron effectively will be presiding over the dissolution of France and all things French, such is the lust for power.

The real problem is that Canada and France both have majority Left populations. They are on a trajectory to go full Venezuela, and then it will be too late. Canada might be irreversible already.

Just like in the U.S., when it comes to the House of representatives, what matters is how many districts a party wins, not the national total of votes for the party. When it comes to our legislatures, we don’t vote for an elect a party and then let the party with the most votes assign a majority of the legislative seats. France is no different other than having “second round” votes after no 50% plus majority. What is interesting about the last point is a second round is forced when the first round does not give a mjority of seats to a party, yet sometimes there is still no majority with the second round, but somone gets to try to form a government anyway. Kinda does not make sense, to me.
