I've never taken Vance seriously. Just another ivy league lawyer and political opportunist who donned a thin veneer of down home hillbilly, blue collar schtick when it served his purposes.
It would not have surprised me to seek him sporting a Carhart hoodie if Fetterman hadn't thought of it first.

May not be what I would decide but not a dealbreaker, not even close. Imagine what Biden, Harris, Newsom etc will approve.
For too many so-called conservatives the perfect policy choices are the enemy of the good.
