I note: not “too many criminals”, just “too many prisoners”.

Un-retire the Tower of London. Whack off twenty, thirty heads an hour using shifts. Show your respect for history!

Sir Keir Starmer has said he wants to reduce the number of people going to prison through renewed efforts to cut reoffending.Reducing recidivism would be a very good thing. But it's not as if no one has thought of that before. Does Starmer have bright new idea how to do this? I don't know, but I doubt it. I imagine he wanted a soundbite and that's as far as the thinking has progressed.
Given Labor's supermajority, I suspect they'll default to the usual leftist method of reducing incarceration.

Crime in the UK is about to get a lot worse. London is already a sh*thole, look for the same to come to the rural areas.

I note: not “too many criminals”, just “too many prisoners”. Bingo! The State has to pay for 'prisoners - the PEOPLE pay the price for criminals.

The headline makes a blanket assertion, doesn’t even attempt to explain why, then gives the floor to some brit politician who say’s he’ll ‘fix’ it. That’s what passes for political discourse.

He was a “human rights” defense barrister so it is not surprising that this the direction he wants to go.

It’s my understanding that they didn’t though, I thought the numbers showed more voted for Reform and Labour - but due to the system they received only 4 seats.
That doesn’t seem right.
