yeesh..think id rather deal with a Hurricane.
they were warned 150 years ago to stop building around the Port of New Orleans. If they ever get a Hurricane Camille or another Katrina at just the right angle up the mouth of the Mississippi River, there wont be a trace of New Orleans left.
That is the whole reason we came up with boats.

You need to follow your dream and do it…just go between Oct - Mar. the seas and weather is outstanding, and you won’t sweat through your clothes every day. Just stay away from populated areas, and stay armed.
Simple, isn’t it? Ha!
It’s not like we don’t get about 5-7 days warning to move a few hundred miles.
I did have a dirty oak fall down during Irma. But Irma was unusual because it had rained for two weeks prior and the wind just knocked it down due to saturated ground. It didn’t hit the house but took a lot of work to get rid of it. That’s the worst so far from any hurricane.
