Philadelphia Inquirer Says Trump Should Drop Out Instead After Debate
PJ Media ^ | 06/30/2024 | Grayson Bakich

Joe Biden's mental decline was at its most blatant debating Donald Trump on Thursday night, to the point that even the mainstream media, his handlers' ever-loyal legion of propagandists, are finally acknowledging it.

But somehow, even with the rumors and discussions of replacing Biden with someone who has slightly more going on upstairs and can walk without the assistance of others, the editorial board of the Philadelphia Inquirer says that despite all of that, it should be Trump who drops out of the race.

Yes, really.

The article just repeats the same lies we've been hearing about Trump ever since he came down that golden escalator in 2015.

The "suckers and losers" comment about the military he never actually made? Check.

January 6th hysteria and "Trump is a danger to muh democracy"? Check.

Claiming he tried to steal 2020? Check.

Calling Trump racist, bigoted, uncivil, and a fearmonger? Check.

Saying Trump likes dictators? Check.

Yammering that Trump is a "convicted felon"? Check.

Pretty much the only things missing were the "very fine people" at Charlottesville lie (I guess because Snopes finally admitted that was fake), the "grab them" comment, and maybe something about eating babies, kicking puppies, and throwing grandmas off cliffs.

The last couple of lines constitute some of the most pathetic sycophancy I have ever seen, enough to make Waylon Smithers from "The Simpsons" look resentful of Mr. Burns:

Yes, Biden had a horrible night. He’s 81 and not as sharp as he used to be. But Biden on his worst day remains lightyears better than Trump on his best. Biden must show that he is up to the job. This much is clear: He has a substantive record of real accomplishments, fighting the pandemic, combating climate change, investing in infrastructure, and supporting working families and the most vulnerable. Biden has surrounded himself with experienced people who take public service seriously. He has passed major bipartisan legislation despite a dysfunctional Republican House majority. Biden believes in the best of America. He has rebuilt relationships with allies around the world and stood up to foes like Russia and China. There was only one person at the debate who does not deserve to be running for president. The sooner Trump exits the stage, the better off the country will be.

On the plus side, Old Joe doesn't need that bidet anymore, now that he's got the entire editorial board of The Filthadelphis Inquirer to wash and Simonize him when he accidentally drops another runny deuce in his Depends.

This is just about the most disgusting lie I’ve ever seen in the press. They have TDS real bad, so bad that they cannot alter their original lie despite ample evidence of its falsehood. They are truly sick people.

Democrat Establishment:

OK Philadelphia Inquirer, you’re our backup plan. Just in case we’re unable to push Biden out, we may have to use you, so start warming up. Your assignment is to say that Trump needs to resign, rather than Biden. Double and triple down and work yourselves into a fury of righteous indignation about how everyone’s got it backwards with Trump and Biden. God help us if we actually need to call on you, but be ready just in case we do.

At least we know that the ones who aren’t seeing it are the ones we should not associate with - ever.

They’re playing to what’s left of the tv couch crowd. Bidon supporters who gawk at state run news/talk shows. Any person capable of critical thought knows what they saw and heard during the debate. It don’t get any uglier. These people are twisting into knots hysterical trying to explain all this away and blame Trump.

It’s truly a spectacle.

I followed a link from Real Clear Politics to that story. Read through it briefly and just laughed. Talk about delusional!

I am baffled as to how can anyone who has a job and somehow make a living...
Lose all senses and can’t see a deminted Joe in the news, until it’s before them

It looks like the “powers that be” has a new scheme.

“Biden Should Withdraw, And So Should Trump”

Subtitle: “The country needs a fresh start after years of anger and polarization.”

https://www.wsj.com/articles/biden-should-withdraw-and-so-should-trump-election-2024-7d99e6cf?mod=opinion_lead_pos6

“President Biden showed his age, confusion and diminishing faculties in last week’s debate. But he had done that before, so I was surprised when establishment media and other Democrats said that Mr. Biden should renounce his re-election plans. President Biden showed his age, confusion and diminishing faculties in last week’s debate. But he had done that before, so I was surprised when establishment media and other Democrats said that Mr. Biden should renounce his re-election plans.

[snip]

When he challenged Donald Trump to an early debate, I thought his advisers either had confidence in his faculties or were making a huge tactical misjudgment. It turned out to be the latter.

Journalists and some Democratic leaders have urged him to withdraw. He is fighting back by scheduling appearances where he can demonstrate vigor and command. But in time the calls for withdrawal will be hard to resist. One would think Jill Biden and his family would be urging him to drop out and come home to a stress-free retirement. That would almost certainly end investigations into Hunter Biden and related family enterprises. In the meantime, Vice President Kamala Harris seems to be stepping up her activity.

Another factor is at work and thus far overlooked—the effect of a Biden withdrawal on Mr. Trump’s fortunes. Recent polls show him ahead of Mr. Biden. But would those leads hold up over a Democratic candidate who appeals to both Democrats and independents—say, Gretchen Whitmer or Amy Klobuchar?

I believe Mr. Biden will withdraw. When he does, voters inevitably will ask: If he is withdrawing, why not Mr. Trump?

Right now Mr. Trump seems wholly focused and determined in his campaign. That could change if key media and Republican leaders suggest that with Mr. Biden gone, there is no practical need for Mr. Trump to run. Polling consistently has shown in recent months that a majority of Democratic and Republican voters would favor other nominees for their parties. The country needs a fresh start after years of anger and polarization. New presidential candidates this fall—how does that sound?”

Trump is leading, Biden has dementia, so Trump should withdraw along with Biden? Yeah, right.

I look forward to seeing the editorial board of the Inquirer throwing up their arms and wailing helplessly to the sky with the rest of their ilk when Trump is elected again.

I can’t believe the Stinkquirer is still going. My dad worked in the ad production department, and he would tell 12 year old me(who read both Philly papers) what the columnists were really like. Mostly effete snobs who looked down on the lowly workers.

After a stunning US Naval victory at Midway, the Philadelphia Inquirer urges the US to sue for peace.

After the British surrender at Yorktown, the Philadelphia Inquirer urges Washington to disband his Continental Army and offer King George a mulligan.

We could go on, but that would be just as stupid.
