The letter continues, “Ms. Clarke has now admitted that she was arrested in 2006 for attacking and injuring someone with a knife. It has also recently come to light that, shortly before the full Senate voted on her nomination, Ms. Clarke and her publicist contacted the man she attacked in an attempt to cover up her false testimony.”

Today has been a day for quiet reflection and thought. My prayer life has been focused on friends and family fighting illness and of course those so impacted in the most tragic way by yesterday’s events.
Saturday July 13 changed all of us. We lost innocence. For me it also took joy from my life that a Trump rally has always brought since 2015. How can there ever be another rally without the fear of an assassin’s bullet being present. In a stark reality, yesterday we met the product years of nurturing seething hatred produce. At every turn, politicians, celebrities, and social media fomented rabid hatred, and that hatred metastasized into a monster.
The cost was human life. And very nearly the life of Donald J Trump.
I was at our dog park this morning and hoping to share with another fellow human being thoughts of what happened. The individual stated they usually didn’t talk politics, but commented that they wished the shooter would have been better at his job.
This person continued to lambast Trump as a lying criminal, a rapist, a con artist, and more.
A rapist? Ok. I’d had enough and firmly but respectfully; I relayed Joe Biden’s pedophilia. This individual was incredulous. They thought I was making this up.
I explained about Ashley Biden’s diary, her admittance that it was indeed her diary and that she wrote the words about her father showering with her when she was around 12 and how that negatively impacted her. The person I was speaking to asked why they never heard about it. I stated that the media in this country buried it to cover up for this Administration. I was then accused of being a Fox News listener.
Surprisingly, we were able to part on good terms. Maybe it’s because we both live in a community where we see each other often and it’s better to get along. Who knows.
I close this long post honestly telling each of you guys there is a growing part of me that is beginning to believe any unity as a nation is impossible. And I don’t know how to fix that.
This is what fomenting hatred does.

Hard to fault the officer. You are on a ladder hanging on with two hands...no way to immediately shoot. Even if you wanted to throw your body in the way...hard to do it on a ladder. The officer alone will have to live with what he could have or should have done.
I’m running into these people. I just don’t believe at this point unity is possible.

Dems are in a real conundrum. If Trump is really an evil super villain dictator who wants to destroy our system of government or whatever then assassinating him would be morally justified. But they don’t want to justify this, which means they’re confessing that everything they said about him for ten years was nonsense. They either have to openly defend this assassination attempt or admit that they’re full of shit. There is no good option. They’re screwed.
