But porch walrus Pritzker says we are gaining population. I think he's confusing population with his waistline.

I’ll bet as long as the Pritzker family maintains its wealth that’s all they really care about: “The Pritzker family is an American family engaged in entrepreneurship and philanthropy, and one of the wealthiest families in the United States.”

This is why communist build walls around their nations, to keep people in (not out).

Democrat policies are a failure for the people and I only wonder if it is because the Democrats are incompetent or if this is on purpose.

There is no nation in the history of the world that have taxed themselves into wealth (but many politician have managed to become millionaires while holding office).

Illinois has “lost” far more income from people who would never want to move there in the first place.

It won’t be long before those thousands of illegals start contributing to the economy. Then no one will miss the white folks who moved away.

This happens on a smaller level within states.

For example Memphis just voted to raise taxes partially to fund new “youth” programs.

This tells you why north Mississippi has been one of the fastest growing areas in the nation for the past several decades.

We retired and moved out of Illinois in 2020. We loved downstate Illinois, which is predominantly conservative, but the state government is controlled by leftists from Chicago. We are now across the river in red state Missouri, and we love it. Our property taxes alone are 1/3 of what they were in Illinois.

100,000 moved in and only 87,000 moved out. can’t the revenue be made up by all the people moving in? oh...sorry. my bad.

From what I observe here in the belly of the beast, the ones moving out appear to be mostly conservatives..by far. Chicago democrat scum tend to stay in place thankfully,

Ok, so “gaining people” doesn’t mean the state didn’t lose 10 billion from certain people moving out of state.

Migration always destroys. The places that they end up get more people and more problems. The south continuously gets invaded by retirees and people up north, that's a very good way to destroy culture.

That has been the nature of America, migrate and change the place you end up, for good or bad that's the plan. Culture and history wiped away isn't a pleasant thing to see, its the last of the mohicans in many areas. That's not even counting the costs of legal and illegal migration to America.

Replace em with “Dreamer” Fed Benefit recipients, pack em like cattle into Fed Funded schools, Feed em with Fed Funded food stamps, bare bones Fed Funded Medicaid.

Pack em in Fed Funded housing, with Fed Funded Utilities.

And take 50% off the top of everything for Union Leaders, DEI Goobermint and Education hires.

The plan is clear and easy.
Just take it all.
Who’s gonna do anything about it?

https://www.nber.org/papers/w8942

...James Michael Curley, a four-time mayor of Boston, used wasteful redistribution to his poor Irish constituents and incendiary rhetoric to encourage richer citizens to emigrate from Boston, thereby shaping the electorate in his favor.

Boston as a consequence stagnated, but Curley kept winning elections.

We present a model of the Curley effect, in which inefficient redistributive policies are sought not by interest groups protecting their rents, but by incumbent politicians trying to shape the electorate through emigration of their opponents or reinforcement of class identities...
