Would we have been better off if Trump ad said no to the debate? We never would have had the soup de grace necessary to begin replacing him if that debate never happened. It started out like a Trump hit job, and then looked like they were throwing the match at CNN as if on cue. They suddenly let down their guard with Trump and started giving him an opportunity to rebut Biden.
Time for Democrats to start making offers to people that cannot be refused.
I think the Democrats will run with Whitmer.
California under Newsom has become a mess.
Whitmer can carry the swing state of Michigan, and she’s female.

I’m betting they’re going to try to insert Barack Obama. They’ll replace Kamala (pay her $1 billion), on the ticket with Barack. After two years, Biden resigns, and Barack becomes President.

This question, as it turns out, presents an intricate constitutional puzzle, the solution of which requires working through four separate sub-inquiries: Is a two-term President totally ineligible for the Vice-Presidency? This Article addresses each of these questions by laying bare the implications of the decisive constitutional texts — namely, Article II’s enumeration of Presidential qualifications, the Twelfth Amendment’s treatment of qualifications for the Vice-Presidency, and the post-service limitations placed on two-term Presidents by the Twenty-Second Amendment.
To be sure, thoughtful analysts have argued that the Constitution forecloses the possibility that a twice-before-elected President can hold (or at least secure election to) the Vice-Presidential office. No crisis. The qualifications to be VP are the same as those for president. When Harris ran as VP in 2020, no court stepped in. No fuss was made by anyone important. Same will happen if she becomes president.

Obama selects Kamala as VP for the two years (double-black ticket with a female), and promises to support her for President after. He might even be able to serve as her VP.
