Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon was convicted of contempt of Congress in July 2022 for defying subpoenas from the House January 6 committee. He was sentenced to four months in prison in October 2022, but the sentence was on hold as he pursued an appeal.

His appeal was rejected in May and he was ordered to report to jail by July 1. There remains plenty of controversy over the charges Bannon faced and the punishment he received, but he is due to start his sentence on Monday nonetheless. On Friday’s show, Bannon joined Megyn to discuss how he is feeling ahead of his jail time.

But Merrick Garland can sleep fine knowing that going to jail for contempt of Congress is for the little people.

Like Peter Navarro, Bannon is essentially being denied the right to appeal his conviction. By ordering him to prison now, Bannon’s four-month sentence will have already been served by the time the appeal is heard.

Was the J6 Committee properly constituted with subpoena powers?

Steve Bannon & Megan Kelley make up on this video. They talk about their battle in 2015 involving Trump when Bannon smashed her and Fox.

It’s really good covering many topics.

The J6 committee was unconstitutional.

I’m surprised that the Supreme Court didn’t hear the appeal, especially after congress filed an amicus brief.

Pelosi refused to seat McCarthy’s choices, which included Jim Jordan. That’s how the vile Liz Cheney-Halliburton and Krybaby Kinzinger became the two RINO members. They are both compromised NeverTrumpers yet their inclusion allowed Democrats to say it was a “bi-partisan” committee even though is was 100% anti-Trump and allowed no cross-examinations of witnesses, as it was in reality a one-sided theater performance. With no counterpoints.

The Leftist TV networks aired this farce in prime time, which gave it the appearance of legitimacy to the typical ignorant American. It’s almost unbelievable that SCOTUS didn’t at least hear an amicus brief seeing as it truly was a Democratic political operation used as a deliberate weapon against Donald J. Trump.

SCOTUS already said no:

Steve Bannon must report to prison by Monday after Supreme Court rejects last-minute appeal

Bannon, a former Trump adviser, was convicted of contempt of Congress in July 2022 for defying subpoenas from the House Jan. 6 committee and sentenced to four months.

Vicariously, MANY of us in the POSSE will be going WITH him into prison. I hope Morning Joe is now happy, and JOY REID can at last show herself JOYFUL.

Sending a 70 year old VETERAN to prison on such a lame charge...eternal shame on John Roberts.

If the Republican voter base would get active at the grass roots, it could rid the party of Rinos and outrages like this would never happen.

January 6 committee was not constructed according to House rules. Everything that flows from the committee is fraudulent and improper.

Probably because one of Roberts advisor/staff people (Sheldon Snook) is the husband of one of the chief lawyers working for Jack Smith (Mary McCord).

From Sundance article published on 11 Dec 2023:

Mary McCord was the architect of all Trump targeting efforts. The FISA on Carter Page, the weaponization of the DOJ-NSD, the installation of Michael Atkinson as Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG), the companion to Sally Yates in the Flynn targeting, lead staff for the Schiff/Nadler impeachment effort, later appointment by FISA Presiding Judge Boasberg to be amicus to the FISC, in combination with Chief Justice John Roberts holding authority over the FISC, and the discovery that Sheldon Snook, McCord’s husband works in Robert’s office as:

“special assistant to Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr.’s counselor. The counselor’s office advises the chief justice not only on the management and budget of the Supreme Court but also on his interactions with the executive and legislative branches, along with numerous other public roles in which Roberts serves.”

Make no mistake Danbury Federal Prison is no cake walk.He will be in danger as all the convicts are. It is inhabited by many violent convicts. Good luck to Bannon.

That certainly doesn't bode well for the upcoming presidential immunity ruling!

Everyone red-blooded American, remember the lack of Mercy the democrats are showing to Steve Bannon.

Flash forward, the republicans gain power, they better show NO Mercy to the rats.

I’m not surprised at all.

You’d think people would just do their job, but no. No one does their job in government, they just look out for no 1. That’s why it must be kept as small as possible.
