One White House official says group text chats are “abysmal… everyone is deflated” in the wake of President Joe Biden’s debate performance, including jokes about updating resumes.
Many staff are working from home or didn’t go into the office today, the official said.
“We’re all already commiserating. No reason to do it at a desk,” the official told CNN.

That’s the rumor on Free Republic.
A few questions I have are:
1) Is Newsom a puppet that doesn’t control his political future, but gets told by anonymous superiors to “fall on a sword” for Biden/Harris?
2) How does Newsom benefit by setting off fratricidal chaos at their convention?
3) Even if successful. How does Newsom spin his past support for the “Humpty Biden” administration as a positive?
He better have more moves than Houdini if wants into this mess.

If he gets tapped, Newsom will be bringing his own power hungry California crowd to the WH. No matter what they say to, deals they make with current WH Rat crowd it’s highly unlikely they will tolerate being dictated to.

I think the question is whether the Democrat party has a viable anti Obama faction, and if so, what does it want?
2024 is a mess. So the best move for Gavin Newsom is to be a loyal soldier and to pledge his support for Biden/Harris ticket.

That’s my position, until this speculation shows an actual foundation.
Newsome would be taking a huge risk to his future ambition. So he’ll play it like Nixon did in 1964, by giving an endorsement & a supportive speech at the convention.
As much as I cannot stand the Biden family at all, I actually feel kinda sorry for joementia. Anybody who has dealt with a family member having dementia saw that family member on stage last night. I saw my father-in-law. That the DNC and Jill especially would allow the exploitation of this sick, elderly, brain addled old man like they did is sickening and it should be criminal.
That said, I have less than zero warm fuzzies for Joe Biden or the family. But as a human being, the DNC is taking whatever dignity he may be afforded and splashing it all over the concrete cuz “power” . Joementia has always been a horrible person… Racist, narcissistic,homophobic, KKK loving and just plain nasty. He’s been in government for 50 years and has made zero impact on advancing anything good into the world or improving lives. He’s destroyed more than he ever created and has never had the common man’s interests at heart. Perhaps it’s poetic justice...live by the sword die by the sword. But this man should be in an assisted living facility, not the White House.
Another thing to keep in mind.
The war in Gaza is unpopular. But "Genocide Joe" gets all the blame.
The war should be over by 2028. So the Democratic Party shouldn't be divided by then.
Perfect timing for Gavin Newsom to be the "unifying figure".
He'll be just like Bill Clinton. Except that he's better looking.
He should be retired in Florida sitting on a rocking chair eating ice cream right now.

Joe is evil, though. Our family members were sinners but not manifestly evil. I same my sympathies for those who are trying to be better.
There's a reason for that. No matter how you try to spin him, he's not a likable person, regardless of idiotic suburban women who may consider voting for him. Add in the fact that he's running California into the gutter, and throwing San Francisco and Oakland into the conversation, and you get a complete loser with greasy hair that cannot win the election now, nor could he win it in 2020.
Let them try. President Trump will have no problem contrasting him.
