Biden may have lost his acuity but he has not lost his ego. He has the delegates, and he will never step aside ala LBJ did. Besides, even if Biden is forced out, half black and half brown Kamala is never going to relinquish her automatic ascension to assume presidency as a standing VP.

I actually expected Joe Biden to do far worse than he did in the debate.

First, I don't think she would want the stress and the responsibility. They've set themselves up nicely for life with a mansion in Martha's Vineyard, an easy-peasy job at Netflix, hobnobbing with the elites...
Why would anyone want to give that up?
Second, she's got skeletons in her closet, too, regarding her stint as a hospital administrator in Chicago.
I think Barack Obama was happy to pull the strings from afar, but I can't see Michelle Obama wanting to jump back into the fire after eight years of luxury.

A few weeks ago I saw an interesting interview with the black Senator from Newark, NJ. Something struck me about that interview??? I wonder if they have a good backup candidate for Dem NJ Senator, being how tight the Senate is for Dems vs Pubs this election?
Besides, New Jersey is going to have enough on their hands if Menendez is convicted of bribery.

I am having similar feelings as I had during and after the 9/11 attacks. Watching the United States President fail so miserably, and what comes next now that the mask has been ripped off.
Likely, but if you go read those posts over at that Young Turks vid I posted a link to, the Dems are split 3 ways, roughly equally. ~1/3 will vote blue no matter who “blue” is running. ~1/3 think Biden is a war criminal and that will apply also to any of the likely replacements. The last ~1/3 are not all totally committed Dems, and regardless now see Biden as unacceptable, and just want someone younger, but again, none of the likely replacements will satisfy that middle group. The “he’s a war criminal” types have nowhere to go in this election. They may vote for local Dems, such as AOC, who are anti-Israel, but they’ll likely sit this one out or vote for some minor candidate for President.
