A mom has claimed she was booted off a United Airlines flight with her distressed 16-month-old son over using the wrong pronoun for a flight attendant.
Jenna Longoria was expecting to fly to Austin from San Francisco on Wednesday with her mom and son when United stopped them from traveling.
She alleges she was denied boarding after an 'accidental' mix-up when addressing a United staff member, who she says refused to accept her apology.
The frantic mom also alleged the flight had taken off with her luggage containing her and her mom's medication still on board, leaving at risk of becoming 'very sick' while stranded.
'They're saying it's a hate crime that I did and that I might not even be able to ever fly United again,' she fumed in a clip posted on Instagram.
In the clip, she says while boarding the flight she mis-gendered an employee.
'I will tell you what happened now, I got one of the flight attendant's pronouns wrong and the other flight attendant didn't like it,' Longoria explained.
'I said, "I'm really sorry, I'm not very versed in pronouns," I was holding my son, he was having a temper tantrum, I had the car seat on my back.
'I wasn't really focusing on anything except getting my son's car seat on the plane and getting him comfortable.'

And the bizarre thing is that you could go up and down the aisle on that plane and call every natural woman, a man or sir, and they won’t feel the slightest bit agitated. Only those with a very thin veneer of self esteem become offended because they are sensitive to the conviction of sin
And why not?
Is there any slightest indication that the American people would either stop, seriously attempt to stop, or raise hell in the streets about this?
When the Japanese created the world's first Thought Police in the late 1800s, little did they know that it would become a world-dominant concept and mainstay of every tyrannical government since...
Our communist masters are living large and in total control...
This is just the bare-bones beginning...
To sue based on what she claimed?
Sorry....I don’t agree. I am a retired flight attendant, 36 years, and I have stories....
Passengers make stuff up and threaten to sue the airline.
And you think it’s okay.
There’s not a single “transgender” person who actually wants you to use their “correct” pronouns. It’s all just a setup to criminalize the very existence of those who disagree with their degenerate lifestyle. “Pronouns” are just landmines designed for you to trip over and blow yourself up. They’re hoping that you’ll “misgender” them. It’s all a sick game.
Given all we’ve seen in recent years, you think the passenger is lying?
I agree. These are people who want to control people, to exercise power over them by forcing them to deny basic reality.
"I am gunnery sergeant Hartman, your senior drill instructor. From now on you will speak only when spoken to and the first and last words out of your filthy sewers will be 'Sir'. Do you maggots understand that?"

Your perspective as a retired flight attendant is valuable on threads such as this one. You have seen things that most of us have not. Please share what you know. That way we all might learn something!
I do NOT think it’s okay for passengers to make stuff up and threaten to sue the airline. I do think it’s okay for someone on a discussion board to offer his opinion on the matter without being slapped down.
By the way, I understand your frustration. I am a retired urban public high school teacher. Folks here will sometimes say things about urban schools that are wildly inaccurate. They just don’t know. I try to keep calm, and offer a little education on the matter. Sometimes it’s not easy!
“IT”...Works in ALL situations.
“the steward refused saying cannot change seats after plane is in the air!”
He/she/it is lying. They do it all the time.
I was interested in the story since I’m a retired flight attendant. You cannot believe what people will make up.
My favorite is when I gave a woman, sitting in coach, an unopened mini bottle of vodka along with Bloody Mary mix.
About a 1/2 hour later, she called me back to her seat. She said she would report me and sue the airline because I really gave her a bottle of urine, not vodka, and now she has hepatitis.
True story.
Another prior to 9/11....
Man called me over to his seat to show me that he cut his
finger on his penknife he had to use when trying to open his
little package of peanuts. He vowed to sue the airline.
No one has ever asked me for my pronouns, but if they do I am considering What/Why
You have had 20 minutes to defend - or elaborate on - your comment. You suggested the passenger was lying. What is your EVIDENCE? The passenger’s claims are entirely believable in today’s environment.
Sorry. My last comment was made while - or just before - you were making yours. Still, I find nothing hard to believe about the passenger’s claims. This stuff happens every day.
Whatever really happened- we don’t know. Yet
But people who pretend they are insulted by these things will take an apology and crank it up. They take it as permission to abuse
I agree. While I abhor and refrain fromnviolence, this nonsense only ends when trans-activists and their allies are routinely beaten to death by religious zealots.
But transgenders never do?
I figured that, but was in no mood to start a fight with the crew. It was red eye flight and I did not wish to be dumped off at some airport. I needed to get to Seattle to visit my first grandchild. I guess I should have just moved quietly to one of the empty seats instead of asking the crew, who likes to exercise authority. Planes are flying full, airline staff does not have to be courteous and accommodate passengers.
On the return flight to Charlotte, I upgraded to first class, and it was at least roomier and quiet.
I understand journalists get things wrong when publishing a
story, so not sure who’s correct.
The passenger claimed she was denied boarding and blamed a flight attendant. Flight attendants are on board 1/2 hour to 45 minutes BEFORE boarding even begins. If she had a problem before boarding, a gate agent would have been involved, not a flight attendant.
Passenger’s husband is unfortunately deceased. Died in 2020. Obit is online. His sister is listed as next of kin and is married to a woman. Yet the passenger claims she’s not familiar with gender pronouns.
Passenger is appealing to her social media fans on instagram. A “celebrity?”
The captain is the final say as to who is allowed to stay onboard when there’s a problem, and they are usually very fair. He wanted her off.
Jenna Longoria, the passenger.
