Philanthropist Melinda French Gates has given Democratic incumbent Joe Biden her first ever presidential endorsement, citing his support for reproductive rights among other issues.
Gates this year left the charitable foundation she co-founded with her former husband, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, with $12.5 billion for her own charity work.
She said the contrast between Biden and former President Donald Trump, his Republican rival in the Nov. 5 election, “couldn’t be greater, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.”
Women deserve a leader who cares about the issues they face and is committed to protecting their safety, their health, their economic power, their reproductive rights, and their ability to freely and fully participate in a functioning democracy,” she wrote on social media platform X on Thursday.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation donated about $1.8 million in the 2020 election, most of it to Democrats.
In a CNN opinion piece on Thursday, Gates elaborated further, saying Trump’s first term in office endangered the health of women, their safety and freedom.
“And he deliberately appointed Supreme Court justices who would overturn Roe v. Wade, which resulted in a decision with far-reaching and catastrophic consequences for women and families,” her CNN piece added.

Meanwhile, the billionaire Winklevoss twins, founders of cryptocurrency company Gemini, said on Thursday they had each donated $1 million in bitcoin to support Trump, the latest crypto executives to get behind the Republican presidential candidate.
Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, whose crypto firm in February entered settlement agreements with US and New York state financial regulators after accusations of wrongdoing, announced the donations in posts on X.
They did not specify where the donations were sent.
Tyler Winklevoss posted that Biden’s Democratic administration had “openly declared war on crypto” and that Trump was “pro-Bitcoin, pro-crypto, and pro-business.”

So basically Melinda’s endorsement is to allow women to kill more unborn children no matter how far along. (bet those little women-to-be aren’t feeling very healthy as they are ripped asunder & they sure won’t be freely and fully participating in a functioning “democracy”)
& believe it or not... Most women (& girls) don’t feel “safe” when some perv is hanging his “junk” out in their locker room because he “identifies” as a female but is really just getting his jollies

she apparently is a follower of the WEF and Bill Gates idea of reducing the world population to 500 million and the Margret sanger vision of eugenics aka Adolph Hitler protege, to get rid of all the inferior brown /POC people, so it should be a known fact about her character.
If you think about it, what possible advantage of wisdom and training or education do any of them have over someone at random waiting for the bus at the bus stop? Or hauling a bag to collect returnable cans and bottles in the alley?
Actually the number of people that wonder about what famous people think is fairly small.
I think the explanation for this glitch in society is the fact that there is a somewhat larger group of people that make their living reporting on this segment of society.
These people have to produce a product written or video. Where do they get this product from people that have the distinction of being famous.
Why are these people famous? In large part because these other people make them so.
I think of it as a media Möbius Loop. Reporters need product so they find a famous person, ask this person questions and produce a work of semi-fiction based on the answers to those questions.
This famous person continues to be famous in part based on this published work. Because the famous people continue to be famous other reporters seek them out to produce work. And the loop continues.
Hence the trope 'There is no bad publicity'.
Looking for the best example of this I thought of the Kardashians. The first people that got the title of 'Being Famous for Being Famous'.
How it happened I have no idea. Nor do I care.
