A political action committee supporting former President Donald Trump is giving out free stickers for supporters to stick on restaurant receipts to tell workers about Trump’s promise to get rid of taxes on tips.
The super PAC, Make America Great Again Inc., announced the sticker initiative on Tuesday, telling supporters on a new website to “join the no tip tax campaign today” and “get your stickers free.”
“Trump won’t tax your tips!” the stickers read. “Vote Trump.”

LOVE IT!!!!
Good!
Great idea! Now if we could only afford to eat at a restaurant that has waiters!
Look. I agree with this not taxing tips policy, but please, the president is NOT AUTHORIZED by our constitution to change the tax code. IT IS CONGRESS’ job to do it.
So, if we have a split government in 2025 ( e.g., a Trump presidency and a Congress controlled by Democrats like in 2018-20), Trump can promise all he wants but it will all amount to nothing but wishful thinking.
Trump’s as bad as Biden with his pandering and vote buying.
Your boy Ted has already written up the bill. So hold your horses.
Income is taxed.
Tips are income.
Tips should be taxed.
Your enthusiasm about this idea is noted.
I have some gas pump stickers with Trump pointing. “I’ll fix that.”
Amazon.
Gifts are not taxed. A tip is a gift to recognize great service.
Ergo tips should not be taxed.
If only I could afford to eat out...
You're right, but this is a brilliant response to Biden's illegal student loan forgiveness gambit.
And Biden's gambit is stupid anyway. Biden already has the deadbeat vote locked up. So he's not getting any new voters with his illegal giveaway. All he is doing is infuriating working people.
And be sure to leave a generous tip anyway!
Good idea. 👍
“A tip is a gift to recognize great service.”
Not a gift per US statutes:
————Gift Per IRS—————
“detached and disinterested generosity.”
Another tax code gimmick. The tax code should not be used to engage in socioeconomic manipulation.
Tipping in the US is ridiculous compared to most of the world. In most places it’s a major compliment to get a dollar tip. Anything more can get viewed as demeaning.
I’d be fine with not taxing tips if standard tips were reduced to a few bucks at most. Increase wages as you are able to take care of your workers, that can get taxed. Let free market decide what people are willing to spend on meals to gage wages.
Tips are a gift.
