Two key advisers to Donald Trump have presented him with a plan to end Russia's war in Ukraine — if he wins the presidential election — that involves telling Ukraine it will only get more U.S. weapons if it enters into peace talks.
The United States would at the same time warn Moscow that any refusal to negotiate would result in increased U.S. support for Ukraine, retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg, one of Trump's national security advisers, said in an interview.
Under the plan drawn up by Kellogg and Fred Fleitz, who each served as chiefs of staff in Trump's National Security Council during his 2017-2021 presidency, there would be a cease-fire based on prevailing battle lines during peace talks.

A lasting peace in Ukraine would require additional security guarantees for Ukraine, the pair said.
Fleitz added that “arming Ukraine to the teeth” was likely to be a key element of that.”

Puts both in a corner, forces talks with consequences for intransigence [the only NATO/Ukie strategy to date]. Talks lead to compromise. Compromise leads to agreement.
Bonus: The war ends once talks start. Expect “good faith” concessions as an opener. Neither side will have momentum or moral authority to scuttle ongoing talks to resume fighting.

PS - My freeper Ukiephile friends, there is NO WAY the russkies can “lose” or Ukeland “win”, nor is this war a stalemate. Wanting something to happen [a russkie withdrawal/war reparations/blah blah blah] is fine, but you need to deal with reality. And reality says the bear isn’t going back to hibernation. Other countries, even ones you’ve never visited and know little about but still hate, do have a say on how they will conduct their affairs.
