He’s probably correct
I suspect that bowing out now would do more harm than good to the Trump campaign.
Trump’s mistake was agreeing to this CNN debate in the first place. Each debate participant should have the right to pick two questioners of his/her choice. Nothing could be fairer.
But, no. Trump - and every GOP candidate before him - willingly steps right into the trap. It’s very frustrating.
Tapper did indeed compare Trump to Hitler in the past

He’s right.
Biden is drowning and Trump is throwing him a lifeline.
Many are convinced Biden will fall over or babble nonsense. If he doesn’t, a lot of people are going to say Biden wins the debate.
Biden will get the questions in advance. His handlers will have Biden pumped up with drugs and Trump will be attacked by the CNN flaks and not allowed to answer.
Just no damn reason for Trump to agree to the debates.
What CNN did was B.S. Trump should demand an immediate apology, and if none is received, he should boycott Thursday’s debate, and let Joe debate himself like he usually does anyway. It would save President Trump from wasting precious time having to debate the moderators once again.
Agreed—CNN is enemy territory filled with minefields.
It is totally beyond me why anyone on our side would voluntarily go there.
He cant back out now, he agreed to it, agreed to ALL the terms, if he backs out now he’d look like a fool..so he has to just go in there and act presidential and it will be fine

This time around it will be obvious to any honest and persuadable voter that the "system" has stacked the proverbial deck is against Trump.
If there is anything a real American hates, its being told what to do.
B.S. Trump didn't do any of the primary debates, and he won all the primaries with high numbers. The RATS turned him into a convicted felon, and he's still on top. He doesn't need to debate Joe. What he needs is for the RATS not to steal the Presidency away from him again, or kill him before the election. Debating isn't going to do anything to stop that.
Bannon is correct.. Never agree to do anything with that criminal bunch... They can make evil out of a toothpick.. Do not get in the vise with CNN helping the dimentia patient. It’s bound to be a set up.
Trump’s first response in the debate should be to just ask Jake Tapper why he’s even hosting the debate if he can’t even pretend to be objective. And then he can just read Tapper’s exact quotes to reinforce his point.

Whatever question Tapper poses, Trump should just dismiss it and address the audience, repeating “Ask yourself, are you better off now than you were when I was President?”
Well, bowing out probably does more ha rm now. Wasnt much of a reason to accept to begin with. If Trump can get a knockout performance (which probably isn’t likely) then it really could be game over for Biden. What is a knockout...well, he did have a knockout performance against Hillary. That is, a performance that is not spinnable as a win for the otherside. The performance in 2016 left the other side saying, sure he won but it wasn’t big enough to change the trajectory. If Biden supporters are left with such a scenario it will be very difficult to come back from.
