Is This Our First Look At Russia’s New Monster Glide Bomb Striking Ukraine?
The war zone ^ | 22 Jun 24 | Joe Trevithick

Posted on 06/22/2024 11:49:29 AM PDT by delta7

Russian forces have begun employing massive 3,000-kilogram (6,600-pound) class FAB-3000 M54 bombs turned into stand-off weapons in Ukraine it has been claimed. If true, this could present a significant new challenge for Ukrainian forces given the amount of destruction power such a weapon could deliver while also helping the launch platform stay further away from Ukrainian air defenses.

At the same time, questions have already been raised about what aircraft might be able to employ FAB-3000 M54s converted in this way and the size of the available stockpile of the bombs, all of which could limit their actual operational utility.

The Fighterbomber channel on Telegram, which has close connections to the Russian Aerospace Forces, shared a video, seen below, earlier today purporting to show the first combat employment of a FAB-3000 M54 fitted with a UMPK-series glide bomb kit. UMPK modules consist of a pop-out wing kit and a guidance package, as you can read more about here.

The FAB-3000 is one of, if not the largest conventional general-purpose high-explosive bomb in Russian service today. There is no direct U.S. military analog, with the largest of the three most common sizes of bombs American forces employ being in the 2,000-pound (900-kilogram) class, or less than a third of the size….

…. Whatever the weapon is, it clearly has significant destructive power, causing major damage to the apparent main target and completely leveling three other buildings. Other structures in the area also show signs of being damaged to varying degrees……

Yes, keep in mind they are pro western agenda and narrative. Over the past two years they went from kicking Russian butt to “maybe Russia’s military is very advanced”….to “ How did they win”….

Bombing Moscow is a good way to get us into WW3. You don’t suppose that’s exactly what the idiots in congress funded by weapons makers want, do you?

“Russia as about equivalent to Canada and Italy in economies.”

Which is EXACTLY the reason that the Neocons are getting their asses kicked in Ukraine...they actually, apparently, believed that crap from McCain.

Anyway, the fact is that Russia is NUMBER 4 in the world, Italy is Number 12, and Canada is Number 15.

Read it and weep...but at least you’ll know how STUPID your side is when it comes to assessing Russia.

Drivel, Russia has vast resources and manufacturing capabilities, they , unlike the West, are fully self sufficient and have much of what the collective West needs. The icing is they are not bankrupt like the West. Get used to it.

All great countries in history have gone to the waste bin over debt and inability to fund their wars.

I tend to doubt that. But given what we see here from the Zeepers and their friends in the White House, it seems that they all know that losing in Ukraine before the election will DESTROY the main objective of keeping Trump out of the Oval Office, and thus if it means a nuclear war, they apparently prefer it.

The Soviets built a glider which carried a small tank.

A glider is the way to go. Tow it into gliding range and remote control direct it into the target.

Russia is still a backwards country with a third-world economy, and the only thing they can brag about is their nukes. They can't even win a war which was supposed to be easy and end within a month or two. Only the nukes can save Putin and Russia now, since they can't win even an easy war against a much smaller military. Putin needs to unleash at least 10 nukes against Ukraine to try to win the war, and with your help, he could be convinced to do so.

Not sure exactly what Russia's goal for territorial occupation in Ukraine is, but think it is fair to point out that the Ukraine military has blown through 40+% of America's prewar reserves of 155mm Howitzer shells, 35% of US Stinger anti air missile reserves, 40% of Javelin and TOW anti tank missiles, about 15% of America's Patriot missile reserves, an unknown but substantial percentage of America's HIMARS reserves, a good amount and rapidly growing number of our long-range ATACMS missile reserves to keep the Russians at bay.

Additionally, the Ukraine has expended pretty much half or more of NATOS similar high tech weapons.

We have essentially expended ALL of the weapons stockpiles reserved for WWIII in the European theater. We are out of weapons to supply to Ukraine and all that the Ukrainians have been able to achieve is to fight the Russians to a losing standoff.

The West has blown it's wad in Ukraine to support a lost cause and the Russians are just getting started.

and now the Neocons have authorized strikes on Moscow

Anything specific? Wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve done so, but I don’t recall having seen any confirmation of it.

I, like a majority of Americans, am tired of going broke to fund the expansion of our globohomo Empire. We are ruled by perverted criminals feasting off our blood and tax dollars.

A German in 1945 Berlin would not have thought it mattered.

Blinken said that Ukraine can strike anywhere in Russia that they want to strike, so I have to take that to include Moscow. It also explains why Putin is now signing formal alliance treaties with North Korea and Vietnam (I think).

The Russian plan is simply to pulverize Ukraine’s military until the Ukrainians kow-tow to Moscow.

The West has blown it's wad in Ukraine to support a lost cause and the Russians are just getting started.

The cost of freedom is not small, and a lot more will be lost before the war is over and Putin is expelled from Ukraine.

Putin has spent a lot in lives and weapons and wealth, so, it's not a one-sided loss for the Ukraine/Euro side. Russia is proportionately losing a lot more than the NATO/Uke side. Putin did not expect the war to last so long and he miscalculated the cost to his side. He can't afford to lose much more, especially with a third-world economy.

Putin is 'just getting started' in realizing the huge 'mistake' he made. He can't win and he will be replaced by the Kremlin chiefs, who are also realizing that they bit off a lot more than they can chew. But, keep YOUR hopes up, because, it's not over till it's over.

Before Putin loses face, Ukraine will be effaced.

Why go to the trouble. Take a plane like the Antonov An-2, load it up with explosives and fly it remotely to the target. Both sides have several lying around, I’d imagine.

************

One would think that given all of Biden’s epic failures, blunders, corru[tion and outright incompetence that the Zeepers might be a little more skeptical about supporting him. He has taken a wrecking ball to everything he touches.

Really hard to understand why anyone would support Biden in anything. Whatever he does turns out to be bad for the country.

True, after WW2 was over, the surviving Germans were not able to care who won the war, and it will be the same when Russia is forced out of Ukraine. Russians and Ukrainians will be relieved that the war is over.

Absolutely - Biden badly damaged the country, and now the Neocon War in Ukraine will literally DESTROY this country, at least as we knew it. Given how OBVIOUS their war in Ukraine has failed, and STILL the Zeepers supporting the Administration, can only lead to one conclusion, as nothing else passes the smell test.
