The West has blown it's wad in Ukraine to support a lost cause and the Russians are just getting started.
The cost of freedom is not small, and a lot more will be lost before the war is over and Putin is expelled from Ukraine.
Putin has spent a lot in lives and weapons and wealth, so, it's not a one-sided loss for the Ukraine/Euro side. Russia is proportionately losing a lot more than the NATO/Uke side. Putin did not expect the war to last so long and he miscalculated the cost to his side. He can't afford to lose much more, especially with a third-world economy.
Putin is 'just getting started' in realizing the huge 'mistake' he made. He can't win and he will be replaced by the Kremlin chiefs, who are also realizing that they bit off a lot more than they can chew. But, keep YOUR hopes up, because, it's not over till it's over.

Freedom? Is that your word for fomenting Revolutions to overthrow democracies and killing disenfranchised voters?

Easy for you to say. What price are you, personally, willing to pay? The lives and fortunes of others are cheap, right?
